jackson's work in the ring is a little different than what we're talking about...

I think Vitali handled Lewis' punches just fine! He only started to slow down after he couldn't see anymore? That massive cut is what beat Vitali! That stoppage by the doc is no indication of what would have happened had the fight continued or is it any indication of what may have happened between Lennox and Wlad! All good matchups!

I think some people read what they wanted to read from the interview... He said Lewis was really physcial in the ring and could dig deep down in time's of crisis. He also said that Wlad was smooth and did the basics really well like Ali did. Pretty much he picked out both of the fighters strengths, but covered no weaknesses. At no point did he say someone was superior to the other. Pretty much all the Wlad nutthugger's will take this to mean that Wlad would have supperior skills to Lewis and would keep him off balance before Ko'ing him and the Lewis nutthugger's like exnihilo will claim that it means that Lewis would dominate Wlad.

that's what i don't give vlad much chance in with lewis - LL will get inside. he would, if he needed to - and that's said he will go through some pain to put vlad down. this is what i feel great about lewis - to win at any cost.

if vlad can keep it on the outside he probably would have a decent chance to ud/md/late tko

nuthugger is a big word - don't use it for no reason. i'm a fan of vlad, that's not a secret. however, between the two lewis would probably ko's vlad, i'm trying to be objective.

there are a lot of opinions from vlad haters that lewis would kill him in the ring, but the interview to me points out that steward has a little doubt about the outcome of this bout if that happened.. this is cost more than a hundreds of other opinions due to him trained both.

Nobody with Manny's boxing acumen would say "Lewis would blox away XYZ 10 out of 10 fights, absolutely no doubt". Manny knows it's a game of chances, not of absolute outcomes and certainty.

Hmm...I think Lewis would win on the outside too.
    Outside, inside...Lewis could adapt.

Steward did great work with both fighters. I beieve Wlad learned things from Lewis and his style.

Emanuel Steward can be very proud of his work. He is a great trainer and very nice person. Great for Wlad to have this man as a trainer :thumbsup Steward is a genius of boxing!

    exactly.

Notice he also doesn't call a clear winner for Valuev-Haye. He says Valuev appears to have aged and then says "I think David Haye has a very good chance to win the WBA heavyweight championship of the world. I would actually, in my eyes, even favor him."

"even favour him" sound like he's putting it something like 55/45 or 60/40 in favor of Haye. It could go either way and we shouldn't be shocked according to what Manny says.

For Wlad-Lewis people are going to read too much into what he says, but it's almost as if he says its like the guy who rarely makes mistakes against the guy who digs deep and finds a way to win (massively oversimplifying of course).

then, according to you and madbolster what feeling have you got from manny's interview - say out of 10 bouts between two? if you felt that lewis pulls out even 6 (and i'm sure steward points for more than 60%) than it's still means than on a large scale he thinks that lewis will win against vald. and that by ko, i have to say.. hardly seeing them coming to a happy end together.

If that's what you got from reading the interview than more power to you. I clearly read that Manny thinks it's a 50/50 fight.
