I just read at Boxrec that last week he knocked out a journeyman, Marcus McGee in 3 rounds; good that he stays active..... but he's finally coming back in decent shape? He really needs to. When his weight was even higher for Chambers after the, what should have been, brutal wake up call from Vitali Klitschko, i'm positively surprised that he got back to 243lbs. At this weight he actually looked dangerous against Wladimir. Let's hope he can shed some more weight and follow Chambers' example..

Look at this fight from 2001 where he was only 230lbs, back then he actually had footspeed.

lets not act like being at 240 would have helped Peter against VK

15 lbs don't make a big difference if he can't box.

He looks great in that vid. Very fast and explosive. I think he would be more effective if he had managed to stay at a weight around 230 throughout his career.

It would certainly have helped. I don't think he would've won, but he was like a statue against VK, who was teeing off and had no worries of any counters because Peter couldn't move his feet.

Peter was slow against Vitali because his mind froze. He was scared shitless. Like an actor who gets on stage and forgets his entire text. Complete freeze.

He would be more effective if he had managed to not get semi-brain damaged from taking Wladimir Klitschko right hands all night too.

Wow! Did it finally occur to a fatso that being in shape might actually help his career? Now, if we can only convince Arreola and all the pudgy Russians.

That version of Sam would have had a much better chance against VK and likely would have KOed Chambers.

If you see early fights of a slim Danny Williams you'd have thought he was a world beater as well.

no. You think that a wild-swinging Peter with only 5 pro fights would have lasted more than 2 rounds with Vitali or would have laid a glove on Chambers?

I don't care what his weight was, he would have gotten owned

How so? Why would you compare a fight against a journeyman vs a stud like Klitschko? How does that make any sense? It wouldnt matter if Peter came in at 170lbs. Fundamentally the man is flawed badly and wont listen to anyone. Weight is only a fraction of the battle for a well conditioned heavyweight.
