anyone who has espn classic should be able to do this. someone picks a fight that they see listed and then post it for everyone to watch and mull over. that way we all can be on the same page when speaking of a fight that others had not viewed yet. example Fri August 21 14:45 Benn v Eubank 1990 ESPN Big Fights everyone needs to set their dvrs for this date and report back your fresh thoughts of the fight within a day or so. i thought it might be fun, we could atleast try it for awhile and see how it works out. of course i m not sure if this all matches up with different providers. i have dish network, so im not sure if this matches up with directv. thoughts
I think this is a great idea. Last night I watched LaMotta/Hairston II. Not that it was a great fight, but there is always something interesting to talk about when you have two great fighters in the same ring. Count me in if there's enough interest in this.
hopfully it will spark once there is a fight that is set in stone to watch.its one thing to have already watched the fight and have memories of that particular fight, but this will give us a chance to review those and compare notes with other posters directly after watching. im in the middle of studying right now just taking a break and am not at home, i will be there about in about an hour and a half and will search for fight #1 .
I know for myself, I have trouble remembering the nuances of a fight I saw a long time ago. Looking forward to this. :good
ok fight # 1 1 am saturday morning on espn classic .im setting my dvr, for those who can't ,feel free to watch it on you tube. i am gonna wait til i can record because you tube bogs down my pc. Emille Griffith vs Andy Heilman II February 3,1969 and for those who just cant wait that long Ricky Hatton VS Kosta Tszyu comes on at 7 ON ESPN CLASSIC tonight. Lets call this the early bird . I would like to keep it to one fight a week so we can all focus on the particulars of that one fight throughout the week . I think this will be alot of fun guys .
If I don't catch the first one, I'll catch the second. Is ESPN Classic worldwide? Also, think about time zones. You must be in the Central,\ I'm Pacific, and the Hatton fight comes on at 5 today.
yep but different schedules in Britain its hardly ever on (boxing i mean) and if it is its normally Benn, Eubank, watson etc... or Ali. Luckily i have Griffith vs Heilman on DVD so i can join in and Hatton vs Tszyu i thinkis on youtube
im sorry i didnt think about time zones guys. yall could search it and then record whatever time its on in your area. respond at your own leisure. i hope this doesnt mess it up for everybody.
i just realized i put club instead of thread in the title of this . i m 31 and still get excited like i did when i was a kid . i meant to put fight of the week thread, and this is for everyone on the forum to participate in.
