Many people wondered how a small heavyweight like Chambers would do against much taller boxers, and when he beat Dimitrenko he pass the test. People don't realize that beating Dimitrenko was great preparation for Wladimir or any other tall boxer. I think this fight should happen this year, of course it all depends on the IBF and Povetkin.

Stylistically he'll have trouble, but you are right that it was a great fight to have beforehand. Dimitrenko is like a very poor man's Klitschko.

Chambers showed good head movement, however, which would serve him well. He also threw some great combinations...something Wlad opponents never seem to do. It's always one punch and back away...

Ready to get BEAT DOWN maybe...

Seriously, that was one (tall) guy, who fights NOTHING like Wlad... I don't get the comparison honestly...

The thing about Chambers is that he does great against taller boxers, he's so slick, and very good defensively, he will make taller boxers miss. Wlad of course is very good against smaller boxers. Wlad will have to fight smart, he's not going to beat Chambers just using the jab and throwing the right hand.

I'd rather see Wladimir fight Povetkin first.

Chambers is ready for Klitschko, because Chambers is pretty much at his peak. I don't think he can be any better then what he is right now. So, I think he should fight Klitschko.

I think he is a bad matchup for wlad, he would have a better chance against vitali.
As would arreola have a better shot at wlad than against vitali i suppose.

Why? because he beat dimitrenko? i get it if americans are trying to be optimistic but wlad wil just jab all night and therefore outbox him to win a comfortable decision.

No because he can't get any better. What you saw against Dimiterenko is about the best Chambers you can get. He's not going to grow 5 inches and get Foreman power over a training camp. IMO, I don't think he has a chance, I think it will be a jab jab jab contest, as usually, and Klitschko will win a wide UD or win by late stoppage, but this is the time to go after the Heavyweight title, he's at his peak. Why not cash in right now?

That was no beating. I call it outclassing.

Chambers has no comfortable style at all. Then call prime Tyson a doushbag.

I think people are making a big mistake comparing Dimitrenko and Wlad, just looking at their height. People will be shocked to see how Chambers will look like he's stumbling after Wlad and never getting in close, all the while eating left hooks and long stiff rights.

I already hear people "Oh Chambers was much slower against Wlad then before", in reality Wlad's footwork is lightyears ahead of Dimitrenkos. Wlad has a whole different feeling for the ring, you won't see Wlad go with his back to the ropes and let Chambers pick shots.

Wlad will frustrate and totally outclass Chambers.

They will tell Chambers "C'Mon Eddie, just apply pressure and this guy will fall apart". And Wlad won't fall apart. And Eddie will get taken apart.

He's as ready as he's ever going to be and he deserves his shot. I can't say I see it ending well for him, but that's why they fight the fights.
