Now a lot of debates has been going on in here about who is the biggest draw in boxing and who brings the most money to the table. I don't know why the debate is a debate at all. Women and Children lie numbers don't. Pac has done lesser numbers between their common fighters faced then PBF in Oscar and Hatton. Ricky and Oscar and now JMM have recieved their biggest pay days of all time facing the same person and it's PBF. Nothing in Pac's history says PPV mega star. His PPV with Diaz did something like 150,000-200,000 buys.:huh To be nice that is horrible. His PPV with Marquez did something like 300,000. Floyd did 350,000 with Baldo. 2.4 million with Oscar to 1.6 for Pac. Over 900,000 with Hatton with 1.6 million more in the UK to 825,000 for pac and 350,000 more in the UK. Also Floyd and Oscar sold out in less then a hour which is a record and vs Hatton sold out in one week while Manny vs Hatton didn't sell out until two weeks before the fight. Even if you hate the guy common sense says it's Floyd. I would argue that neither is as big as they or people seem to think but head to head only a nuthugger or a damn fool would say Pac when the numbers say PBF.:deal 60-40 for Floyd and Pac can get his biggest pay day to lol. No bull **** arguing cause Pac is more exciting facts are facts. Bazooka, Critic, and Philla when you guys come crying just bring facts not opinions LOL:hi: Pimp C, Walk with ME, and Nallege I know you guys have tried explaining this hopefully they get it.
So Floyd has fight over 1 mil, one which came close, one which almost did 400K and a bunch of "eh" buyrates to his record. Pac has 1 fight over 1 million, another fight which came close, another fight which came in at nearly 500K and a bunch of "eh" buys to his record. The biggest cash cow in boxing globally is Wladimir Klitschko. Pac and Floyd are probably fighting over 2nd billing.
I couldn't agree more the numbers don't lie but try telling this to a ******* or PBF hater.:-( All you get is spin.
We'll have to see what September and November churn out. My guess is Cotto-Pacquaio will get more buys than JMM-Floyd. Not because it's THAT much better of a fight but because there's more going on in September than there is in November.
The Floyd groupies are more interested in the money fraud makes despite the fact that they dont get any of it then they are in him giving them the best fights.
those 2 #'s will ultimately decide who's the big dog until that happens you cant argue with the #'s... it will ultimately be which fight has better marketing floyd vs marquez will have a more entertaining buildup cotto vs pacman will probably be a more entertaining fight in general
Don't be surprised if Cotto-Pac, without MMA opposition does much much better than JMM-Floyd. Not to mention that around September 19th, college kids and parents are probably still getting over the assraping that comes with buying school supplies and won't be as spendy. Lots of factors to look into.
