i'd love that too but it would also be horrible. We're talking about one org having like..98% monopoly of the sport.

They already have it. Look at all the fans. It's over. UFC IS MMA.

Thing is if you ask any boxing fan they would say they would prefer it if boxing had one world title for each division, but discussin mma that seems to go out the window, peole are quite happy having several orgs with world titles being dished out.

Not being overly serious becUse it wasn't stiffly his fault, but:

    Rings
    Pride
    Inoki's show
    Bodog
    Yarennoka
    Affliction

    All dead.

Every promotion Fedor fought in has died. . The only ones he was a reasonable part of their deaths were Bodog and affliction.

and it appears Dana is pissed and has already talked about counter programming which could spell disaster for strikeforce. And Having them have an alliance with dream is another burr under his saddle. I guarantee strikeforce will have one hell of a time making a dollar now.

Of course it all depends how Finkel has the contract write up which I'm sure allows them to **** stikeforce as well.

I'm not sure strikeforce realized what they got themselves into.

Yeah your right, too bad there wasn't a bunch of different org's with all the top fighters all spread out never fighting each other.

Too bad the NFL has a monopoly I would like to see a couple different leagues and have the talent spread out so we never have to see the best agaisnt each other.:-:)huh:verysad

Boxing has the right idea IBF,IBO WBO,WBA, ABC,DEF,HIG. That's what mma needs to be just like boxing....in fact throw in 12 or so more weight classes...that's what MMA really needs.

No no no no no...Wait a minute...
First , your comparison with the NFL doesn't work. NFL works with a TEAM. MMA , boxing , K1...is a mano-a-mano sport...there's only two participants. (not counting the cornermen)

Let me ask you , do you consider the "muhammad ali boxing reform act" to be useless ?

    MMA needs a fighters union...

Also , if the ufc is only in charge of the entire sport...fighters don't have a choice anymore..On all levels...even the fans are ****ed on the long run...because they're forced to watch mma via ufc's rules.

    this means:
1 - ufc rules = mma rules for all...
    2 - no more rings...just the octagon
3 - same production format for all shows

No competition at all is bad

  10. that is really wrong and embodies all the qualities and disgusting principles that made fedor ignore that evil empire. danas on some mid life crisis power trip, finally a 'cool guy'

Well, STRIKEFORCE may not disappear overnight. They've been in business since the kickboxing days on ESPN. It would be nice if they could hang on for a bit and offer an alternative to the UFC. There's always enough slices of the pie to go around.

What a farken carnt Dana White is. He doesn't give a **** about the sport, only filling his own pockets. He sounds like a crazy drug dealer hell bent on crushing any other drug dealers who dare step onto his turf.

Why is he so bitter? That Strikeforce succeeded in signing Fedor when he failed?
