What did you think of ROY JONES performance vs JOHN RUIZ ?

He did well...probably even better then I expected.

I know people dislike Ruiz but he is still hanging around being a nuisance, he often gets underrated because of his style.

Nady helped though from memory...He prevented Ruiz from holding and mauling which is good..but he also prevented Ruiz from working on the inside and using his size advantage.
Which made it a lot harder for him.

 

nady was very strict about the rules BUT jones still did well staying off the ropes for long periods of time and his movement in the centre was fantastic. i think jones' true peak/prime ended there...sure he had better fights but this fight was the last that he was at his gifted best.

A much as I don't like the attitude of this post, I have to agree that 7 options are too many, especially the last three aren't even needed, as even the most hardcore Ruiz fan (if there is any) wouldn't tell you Jones performed less than good. But I assure you, newcomer, that BB isn't trying to look good or anything, he's a pretty genuine poster.

On topic: I'm between "masterclass" and "very good", I'll choose the latter to keep it real or something. :yep

You can't even have a "masterclass" performance against a guy like Ruiz it is not like Ruiz was Lennox Lewis or something. Ruiz was/is awful.

It was a handpicked fight for Roy and it looked like a glorified sparring session not many punches thrown by either guy. :roflatsch
