Well Shane didnt destroy everyone at 135...he is opposition there was only so so..he did destroy most of the guys put in front of him but overall his reign there isnt a great as people make out..and was clearly missing a few names.
Not that you can hold that against him, he couldnt have been expected to fight them all but its unfair to guys like Stevie Johnston and Artur Grigorian to say that Shane's resume at lightweight is clearly better when thats just not the case.

Id go as far to say that Oscar's pre-welter work was clearly better..He beat better figthers and usually more convincingly. Overall he beat better versions of their common opponents under welterweight aswell.

haha, true that is being harsh on winky. he beat mosley twice and destroyed tito so at the least he's on par with the others. i just love tito and oscar and have MASSIVE respect for mosley but based on head to head battles, winky is damn impressive.

it's probably personal impression first.. but for me he always left a guy winging his hands in stolen decision against vargas. defensive king and thats all to be said. little too much defence-first even for my conservative mind..

he was a defensive fighter and not always exciting, but he did well against the elite opposition he fought. for that he gets some credit

he gets all the credit in the world for me but think - boxing to me by definition is still offensive game. wresting may be otherwise.. thats pure imo. i'm not judo japanese type of dude. boxing has to be offensive - this how it scores

H2H, Winky whipped both Mosley and Trinidad. He would have beaten Oscar too IMO. I don't think he achieved as much as the others though. So tough to choose.

to me it's like tito was marching forward until he got stopped by bernard, who is not in the same anything with him. who could do this path in his shoes out of four? think. tell me.

Shane is the best and Winky the worst. I know Winky beat Shane and Tito, but he beat Tito when Tito was inactive and he beat Shane but Shane has had the better career. No one can argue Delahoya is below Wright. Shane has beaten Oscar and Margarito and Mayorga and fought Forrest and Wright and everyone. I give Shane the best resume nod.

I think he have to go with Mosely when you reflect on his career cumulatively. Just comes down to longevity....Trinidad was by far the greatest of the bunch as a welterweight (except Wright who fought mostly at 154)....but when you factor in Trinidad's downslide after the loss to Hopkins, DLH losses many of his biggest fights and being stopped by Pacquiao, and Wright's lack of big fights in comparison to the others, I think Mosely's win over AM solidifies his standing as the best within the lot.
