Arreola is a disgrace. That guy was a light heavy as an Am. He has no business being so fat and out of shape. Its pretty clear he doesnt take boxing seriously. Oh well his made his bed. He'll certainly get to lay in it.

Thats pretty much it. Iv seen nothing in Arreola that makes me think he's anything more than a blue collar club fighter. He looks like those guys you see in them toughman contests.

Maybe some smart "advisor" told Arreola he should come in at 315? So he can attack Klitschko and blow him away in close quarters?

    What nonsense.

I remember when Johnson had the same idea when he can Vitali fought. Kirk came in around 270lbs and was a disgraceful tub of lard. Even Danny Williams did the same thing. Both men took sustained beatings and capitulated.

It was allegedly Larry Holmes that told Johnson to come in 'bulkier' for Vitali.

Perhaps it was Larry again, he's just doing it to amuse himself...

A sharp 230 pound Arreola can make a Vitali fight interesting at least.
    This blob will not.

Larrys a legend. But he's also an absolute idiot. If theres one person who has erroneous views on anything in boxing with a bitter attitude to boot its Larry Holmes. And Kirk wasnt bulky. He was just fat and horribly out of shape. Such a waste.

Agreed, he is way too green. He needs a few years to sharpen up his skills and at 28 he still has the time to do it. He has fought or beaten no one.

Fighting Vitali at this stage is all wrong. Fighting Vitali at this stage and being not in top shape is suicide.

If Arreola goes forward with those tactics, he will probably get knocked out. I am rooting for Chris but I do not see how he wins this one. He is too inexperienced and his skills are not yet good enough.

"Kill or be killed" what is Arreola smoking to be talking like that?

Its not even his greeness. Arreola is simply a **** fighter. He is exactly the same as Samuel Peter. Coarse, obstinate, unprofessional, out of shape and both have as much boxing skill and acumen as a herd of cows. Arreola is a nobody. Other than semi decent clubbing blows he's dreadful to watch. I wish he'd just go away and stick to the barn yard brawls he loves so much.

It's not you personally that I would disbelieve - it would be as a result of my faith in mankind (not the poster) and also my limited understanding of biology. I mean, seriously - 40 pounds since April?!. That in itself takes commitment, just not the kind that this sport admires.

I believe you. It makes me sick to see a fighter that's going to waste our time just so he can get his payday and retire.

40 pounds is surprisingly easy to put on that quickly, sadly enough. Solis fought at 210 in the ams, and for his first pro-fight only four or five months later he was up to 258, 48 pounds in four or five months.

Arreola's biggest problem is he loves beer. He will two fist mugs and have a table full of hot dogs right in front of him. That is why he is up to 297.

I'm frustrated because although I don't think he can win, he might have given K some trouble here and there. The way he looks now means he'll not get quality training done, instead, he'll spend more time trying to reduce weight. Bottom line is that the fight is gonna really suck and he's gonna be gassed after a couple of rounds. But I'm hoping for a surprise.
