Official: Paul Williams Vs Kelly Pavlik @160:UPDATE!! Boardwalk Hall AC...ITS ON!!!

If this is true I give both of them credit for fighting each other especially Paul Williams. He doesn't have to fight a hard punching guy in a higher division.

 

Cause he had a dream that Williams beat the hell out of Pavlik. He's afraid the dream he had will be a reality.

 

I gave Williams round 9. I could have gave Williams round 10 cause it was a real close round but i thought Margarito pull it out. But i have the same score as you did 116-112.

 

its not even about faith or not.. i'm just being real.... paul williams has all the talent and more as far as what it takes to beat pavlik... but there are points in other fights in the past where the fight is too easy for him & so unthreatening that he loses focus of his game plan and kind of just has fun... too much fun and he gets wild.... in this fight the threat is larger than most and he has to stay extremely focused & dedicated to his game plan... im 100% confident he can pull it out but he will have to show us determination and focus that he has not fought with yet....

i personally believe his career up to this point has been built for this moment... to dropping that first quintana fight, to showing how much heart he has in the margarito fight, through fighting through adversity in the verno philips fight.... his time is truly now.. but he will have to put the work in and really focus to get everything out of it...

that said....

williams by 4-5 rouds

thats the only real question mark on this fight... everything else is there to be seen

 

Quintana earned his respect and he is a lesser puncher than Cotto.
Cotto I think would outbox Paul and earn the UD.
Maybe TKO him too. Lets face it Paul has not really been hit much other than by Quintana or Margarito. And they were both able to damage Paul.
Cotto is a pretty devastating puncher himself.

 

Not sure if this was already cleared up aready or not but (according to Boxrec) Pavlik has a 75" reach compared to Williams 82" reach. I saw that post and thought - naaaawwww, can't be true... :nut

Anyway, I can't wait to see this fight. I won't pick a winner just yet as I've still not seen Pavlik get his ass handed to him by B-Hop just yet... It's a risky move by Williams to be sure, but if he's confident, who knows...

Don't you worry about "focused" cause Williams ain't stupid to know this is easily the biggest fight of his career. Williams will train very hard for this fight. He will study tapes of Pavlik and see what he can do in order to win.

 

So let me get this straight the same Cotto who melted down under Margo's attack is going to stand up to Williams who is better than Margo in every way.:rofl Not to mention Williams stood up to Margo's attack and beat him at his own game. Williams would beat the **** outta Cotto and have him running all over the ring looking for a way out. There's no wonder why Arum wouldn't put Cotto within the same zip code of the punisher.:deal

i sure did forget about those babies.... this fall has a **** load of fights after a very very dry summer

 

Boo has me on ignored ( that grumpy old man) but i just had the feeling he really don't want this fight to happen. Man i can't wait when Williams beats Pavlik cause i want to see what boo, hermit, pavlik the champ and the rest of biased Pavlik fans going to respond. I bet most will run and hide.

Everyone's wondering how PW will deal with Pavlik's power, I'm wondering how he's going to deal with fighting a guy that's his size. Yes he does have the reach advantage over Pavlik but its not by that much, not like all the other guys PW has fought. PW has never fought anybody as big and lengthy as him (accept maybe Koll and that guy sucks).
