What are you talking about Taylor didn't do anything dirty, Pavlik was the one who kept throwing shots when they were clinched and the ref had told them to break. Also, who cares if BHop didn't stop him from trying to come forward, he destroyed your boy. Now I appreciate your Pavlik fan but don't go making **** up. You are right though in the fact that PW isn't gonna KO Pavlik, if PW wins it will be on the scorecards.
I have watched Pavlik/Taylor I at least 12 times. I have also reviewed many segments in slo-mo numerous times. BOTH guys were extremely rough and dirty. At one point in the 2nd round Taylor threw one hell of an impressive combination: two elbows and a head butt. A few seconds later he ****ing held Pavlik's head down with his left hand and nailed with a right uppercut. However, KP was no innocent victim. He rabbit punched, shoved his open glove in JT's face, used his shoulders and elbows on the inside, et. In reality this was a very dirt fight. Neither corner complained and neither did the fighters, so Smoger just let it go. You need to watch that fight a few more times before you start telling me what did or did not happen.
Alright Boo, I just watched the second round and didn't see the combo your talking about, at what point in the round did it happen?
Watch it in slo-mo. It's funny that this comes up now, seriously. Like I said earlier I've watched this many times, and I only recently started to notice how rough and dirty both fighters were. There was no victim! Smoger left them alone, and these guys damn near took it to street fighting mode. Not just the 2nd and 3rd rounds either.
That is hard to see on You Tube. I think that is one point of interest. About 10 seconds later JT threw a massive head but that caught KP on the chin. If you have the fight on Video at home, next time you watch it watch everything after the 2nd round knockdown in slow motion, and through out the fight watch JT's freaking elbows. Watch Pav shove Taylor's head back with the palm of his open glove, watch his shoulders, et. I'm tellin' ya, if you're looking for it, you'll see it, and you'll be shocked.
Cosign. PWill gets hit a LOT compared to Hopkins and he's not yet filled out so the size difference probably equates to a strength difference in there. Good pick for KP. But I feel Williams is too small. He was just at 147 last year. This is just good matchmaking. Pav KO by 8.
This is the fight Kelly wanted. I would have preferred that PW put in some good hard rounds at 154, and at least one more fight at 160 before taking on Pavlik. However, around mid-July Goosen approached Arum with a proposal for a 50/50 co-promotion. Arum told Goosen to buzz off with his 50/50 bit. About the same time HBO presented Pavlik with a list of 4 fighters they would approve. The list included Winky, Sturm, Martinez, and Balzsay. For reasons of his own KP trashed the list and said get me Williams.
You talk a lot about P-dub being a Middleweight and "give me 3 MW that can beat Paul" but going by your analysis, you know exactly what time it is when it comes to this fight. Should be easy work for KP. You and the Pavlickers will get no credit from me if KP wins this fight. PS: you forgot to add horrible balance and he falls over his own punches.
Well -- that's the nice thing about this fight. Just bet on the tall skinny guy, and you can win a boatload of $$$$$$ cha-ching!:yep Skeletor KO5 Stickman!
