Yep..............I said it. Hands down a prime Holyfield would have finished off Lewis. Holyfields speed and devistating counters would have caused huge problems for Lewis. If only they fought in the early 1990's.........................**** IT............I edited.............I mean a Prime Holy beats a Prime Lewis

In 1990 Lewis was something like 12-0 and had fought only one 12 rounder.

Expecting him to match Holyfield when he's boxed 8 rounds only once, and 12 rounds never is not reasonable. It's an odd thing to wish for.

    But Holyfield would definitely win.

Thats not crazy. In 1990 Holy was at his best................an old Holy still gave Lewis fits. Remeber a nobady ( Rahman) Koed Lewis in his prime and a "Crackhead" ( Macall) koed Lewis too. Holyfield is far better than both

"Prime" Holyfield fought at CW, not at HW. Case closed.

Yeah, that's the point, you're trying to match an ATG at (according to you) his peak, with a novice who has NEVER boxed 12 rounds.

What do you expect to happen? I'd pick Every HW in my top 20 to beat 12-0 Lewis.

Holmes and Foreman had great chins, Lewis didn't. A prime Holyfield would of stood a good chance of beating a prime Lewis, his combinations were fast and powerful on the inside, and his foot movement and hand speed would of gave Lewis fits imo.

I would honestly say the fight would be a 50/50. I had the second Lewis/Holyfield fight a draw, and this was prime Lewis, but about 6 or 7 years removed from Holyfields prime.

For the umpteenth time, the last fight was NOT a draw. It was 8-4 Lewis, at best 7-5. No way was this fight a draw! And what about the first fight?

it did happen, and Lewis won either 9 or 10 of those rounds. Meaning he won at least 16-17 out of the 24 rounds they fought. I can never figure out why those who support Holyfield pretend the first fight never happened.
