    Absolutely remember, those were the days. Never posted myself but used to go there for news & updates. Kinda grateful that Golota revived his career and that his fans came here to continue following him. :good

    I always love hearing the sound of Golota's gloves as they pound against Bowe's head with that beautiful straight right hand/ left hook combo that put Bowe on all fours. Guess he was expecting to get ****ed some more and that round and he sure did! Of course Golota then ****ed himself as he so often does by headbutting Bowe, causing a nasty cut and a point deduction which helped lead to his second DQ.

    Golota was never quite the same after the brutal Bowe wars, but he still had a couple more years of prime left in him before the car accident. That second round against Sanders will always be one of the most awesome round in heavyweight history.

    I remember getting all giddy and excitable like Martin Short in 'Clifford' everytime the NEWS section was updated in yellow bold letters.

    When I first found that site, I was absolutely amazed. The internet was a bit new to me back then and I was in awe that a website devoted entirely to Golota actually excisted. And it even had a message board for fellow Golota fans to discuss Golota's career. Just wow!:admin

    Before that, I was strolling around book and grocery stores looking for news on Golota in KO, Ring and alll that. That's how I found out he was fighting Lewis. A magazine. Only about a week before the fight too.

    I was in a similar position, Brisback. At the time I worked home health care. My client had cerebral palsy. He also had a computer with dial up internet connection, which I did not. Every night I went to work he'd let me use his PC and that was my only way of visiting The Ultimate Golota Homepage. One night I stayed up on his computer very late, and my client who was in a wheelchair kept telling me to get off, he was ready for bed. I kept telling him to hang on a sec, I'm almost done. As I was typing away, he wheeled up right beside me and knocked the living **** out of me right in the jaw. Backhanded me. I didnt even know he could do that, cause his muscles were very stiff and he had limited flexibility. Those were the days, mate.

    The things I did to him, I cannot even write about. I tortured that little *******. And for a gimp in a wheelchair, he gave as good as he got. They are not as harmless and innocent as they look. :dealBut it was all done out of fun, over the years we became more like family.

    I was happy when Gillberg first started posting over here.

    First he was posting under some funny name....SugarWladdy, perhaps? And then he became RuizJabAndGrab and he was ultimately banned I believe.

    It was cool to see Gillberg back here in the lead-up to Golota's fights with Byrd and Ruiz. He was pretty angry with Golota after the Brewster fiasco, but hey--it comes with the territory of being a Golota fan.

    That 2nd round battering ram headbutt was something!

    I most certainly do! I believe that was on....was it Tuesday Night Fights they had going back then? I remember watching it. Just re-watched that awesome second round now. When that blood splatters all over Golota's left shoulder--I remember that moment so well.

    Golota was actually using some good hooks in that fight, and even was throwing some right hooks, too.

    He did look awesome in that fight. I remember him putting on a pretty impressive defensive performance in the later rounds of that fight, too. He was somewhat elusive back then, compared to the Frankenstein he is now.

    Another good fight of Golota's I remember loving was his contest with Jesse "Boogey Man" Ferguson. He was very composed in that fight, despite apparently breaking down into tears when he found out his original opponent (Jimmy Thunder if memory serves) had backed out.

    My FAVORITE moment while watching a Golota fight was definitely him dropping Grant with that jab-jab-right that dropped Grant like a sack of potatoes.

    Why, oh WHY was Golota such a shitty finisher? :lol:

    Even in the Sanders fight, Golota seemed like he could have had him out in the 2nd round.

    He looked good in every fight up to the Grant fight. It was after that fight (when he fought guys like Marcus Rhode and Orlin Norris) that his physical abilities noticeably declined.

    Funny thing is, before the car accident but AFTER the Grant fight--there were rumors that Golota was to fight one of the Klitschko Brothers, and I remember him being quoted as saying something like "Sure, as long as I don't have to fight them both at the same time."

    Make no mistake, Doucheman, I thought Golota should have retired immediately after the Mollo fight. If he's going to continue fighting I will continue rooting for him (even if he does fight Adamek), but I think retiring after the Mollo win was the perfect way to call it a career.

    I really suck at playing Fight Night Round 4 on-line.

    I win every now and again, but some of the people out there are insanely good.

    From now on, if I'm going to lose on-line, it's going to be with Golota and it's going to be by DQ from excessive low blows.
