Was Ortiz's vision in jeopardy any more than any other boxer? No. He quit because the fight got tough and he couldn't take it.

Nate went blind in one eye.

They are different, both quit yes but Nate had reason to quit.

ortiz said he didn't wanna end up a damaged fighter, which is what could've happened to nate...so what's the difference in your eyes...

I can be in any thread I want.

I compared the situation saying a fighter doesn't have to be the one to stop the fight in order to quit.

I never called chavez a quiter.

Ortiz was perfectly fine to continue, he quit when the fight got tough and Maidana didn't go away.

Nate went blind in one eye and his chances of completely losing his vision for ever Increased dramatically.

Really? So you state that the doctor stopped the fight in the Chavez fight, so that automatically makes him not a quiter.

I merely provided to you that Ortiz wasn't the one who stopped the fight it was the doctor in his fight but Ortiz clearly quit.

    I never said Chavez quit.

are you ****en serious...if the dr stops the fight, what the hell does the fighter gotta do with that decision.....have you seen the interviews in the locker rooms after those fights...chavez was ****en pissed, but cause he dont go around going ape-**** in the ring that doesn't mean he wanted the fight stopped....

have you even seen him vs kostya and how hard he tried in that 6th round to knock kostya out.....what about the delahoya rematch, in the 8th round they were going at it like dogs......

Judah and Clottey are both black so as long as one wins you're happy.

Victor Ortiz - Dr stopped it

    Campbell - Dr stopped it

    Cotto - Corner stopped it

    All 3 guys quit.
    Like I said before.

Even though I feel Chavez is heavily overrated by people like you, there is no doubt he is a warrior and a top ATG.

I merely pointing out to you that just because the "doctor" stopped it, doesn't mean a fighter didn't quit.
