polls? you're putting all your arguments in polls? well, good for you that in your heart jmm won because polls in the month after the fight said so (or so you say). i'm sure you're one of those people who are convinced jmm "outboxed" pac except for the knockdown rounds. too bad history will say pac won. sort of like pac should've won the first fight by 5 points (as with lederman's card), but history will say he got a draw.
This is bull****. The posters taking Marquez were more vocal, I'll say, because the polls had Pacquiao in the lead. All the polls I've seen on this forum had Pacquiao ahead. Stop saying this anecdotal majority took Marquez bull****. At least use the "ring-side writers" mostly had it for Marquez argument, that always works. But what's the argument? That Pacquiao lost? He didn't, unfortunately. "Ring-side writers" are again people, and their opinions are only convenient when in line with yours. Otherwise, they're simply opinions. The words of fans such as you or I carry as much weight as theirs, which is almost none in this kind of an argument. The only majority opinion I see in regards to this fight: It was close. Damn close.
114-113 for pac. too many rounds that could've gone either way. rds 1,7,11,12 one of the best fights of this era.
The ******* in this forum know me very well.......they've accused me of alot of things, but one of them is'nt lying. If I was lying, you'd have *******s up the ying yang trolling this thread accusing me of it, but they know better because I've sparked them in the past with solid proof....... Ask any ******* that was around and debating back then......I know a few of them remember me asking them to link me to a poll that showed the fans had Pac winning......they could'nt come up with even one. .....and as for polls, I'm not basing my arguments on polls......but if you bother to read, you'll see and note that a ******* in this thread was encouraging a fellow poster to make a new poll today, so that the ******* can dominate it and and feel good about themselves through a meaningless poll conducted more than a year later on a *******ed thread!:yep
Nope....but I can't knock your opinion in a close fight. To each their own. i had PAC winning by 2 rounds.
then why are you so insistent on people coming up with a meaningless pole in the month after the fight? i agree with the poster who said people are more emotional immediately after the fight but are more clear headed a year later. i can say that right after the fight, the *******s went "woohoo! let's drink to our champ and **** some ho's!" while the pac haters are like ":|. pac lost! pac lost! i know! i'm gonna set up a guzzillion internet polls cos i know pac haters will be there to validate my pathetic existence."
Completely agree. And add to that, the awkwardness of Pac's vs. the polish style of JMM made the close rounds in favor of JMM for some fans, IMO. I for one gave the 1st round to Marquez, but, after reviewing the fight and saw GIFs on this board, it changed my decision in favor of Pac.
I had Marquez winning by 1 point. Just like the first fight. Close, could have gone either way. Those who have Pac winning, I can definitely see your arguement. This really needs to happen a 3rd time.
