Better Boxing Skills - Pacquiao Or Cotto?

:deal People seriously need to rewatch the diaz fight when saying things like 'cotto is more skilled than pacquiao'.

I agree. Cotto is boxer puncher with a good jab and body attack. Pac is a freak athlete almost like RJJ. Also we;'ve seen Pac get outboxed. I haven't seen Cotto get outboxed just yet.

 

Cotto...and its not even close.

You simply watch. I watch AND participate. Not on world level, but I've seen enough to know who has skill and who doesnt. Manny is a GREAT fighter, but not one with much skill. He has enough skill coupled with AMAZING speed and GOOD power (not great, but its enough)...that is enough to beat a better skilled fighter. His stamina allows him to utilize what little he has to the absolute fullest.

Cotto wasn't gifted with speed and stamina, but he has beaten great opposition with his skillset and POWER. If it wasn't for his skillset, Cotto wouldn't be ****.

 

I tend to think Cotto is more technical and skilled but pac has surprised me from the last couple of fights. Seems that pac just learned how to actually "box" ( rather than rely on his furious left hand ) in the dela hoya fight and he is progressing RAPIDLY. He now has,IMO, better footwork than cotto and FINALLY learned how to use that right hand PROPERLY. Come nov 14., I think cotto and pac will be about the same skillwise and pac's physical abilities would be the difference in the fight.

LIKE COTTO ON THE MARGARITO FIGHT ? :yepcotto does not have the skill to adjust against a slow moving **** with the the tendency to throw the same punches over and over again... Hmmmmmm sounds like a not so skilled fighter to me.
