Miranda throws WILD hard punches. He has terrible technique and relies only on that power. Williams throws 1000+ fast punches from all angles. Again, two different fighters. We have talked at what the only similarity they have already (workrate...and even then, Miranda's pales in comparison)...there is absolutely nothing else of note.

As for the arm length thing. HBO reports Williams arm length at 82"...I have never seen any publication or video showing Miranda's any longer than 77 1/3 (source boxrec for the longest I was able to find). On top of that, just watching the two of them you can see the huge difference in length.

Both the Rubio and Miranda fights are clinics on how KP uses the left hook. No, rubio is not on Paul's level, but Miranda most certainly proved more at 160 than Paul has.

Some of this is the reason I often question my sanity for participating on this forum. a lot of you guys loudly proclaim yourselves boxing fans, you watch fight after fight after fight, and afterward have no freaking clue what just happened.

Your talking about over all reach with those figures, not arm length. Overall reach means **** all. Arm Length, from the arm pit to the end of a closed fist, tells us the actual punching range.

    WHAT?

He fought more fights...but didnt prove a thing. The only major fights he had a 160 was Kelly Pavlik (got annihilated), Arthur Abraham (lost a UD) and Howard Eastman (old and DONE). His fights vs Green (who soon after the fight had to have his colon removed...) was at a catchweight...same with his second Abraham fight (again got annihilated). And the Ward fight (again got embarrassed) was at SMW.

He really has never proven **** at any weight. Ill take the guy who just shut out a future HOFer and one of the toughest guys to fight in boxing in Winky Wright (seriously, who before Williams looked "good" vs Winky??? Noone!).

And on your other comment...Im sorry bro, but I have proven over and over for the past 7 odd years on this site that I have quite the freaking clue what I am talking about...

    :huh

Are you really trying to argue that overall reach (that is 5" longer than the other fighter) doesnt equate to armpit to fist in a fighter who is also 3" taller than the other one??? Really??? Is that your arguement???

    :huh

Poster A "Paul WIlliams is P4P number one! He is the most avoided fighter in boxing!"
Poster B "Kelly Pavlik wants to fight him."
Poster A "Why doesn't Pavlik pick on someone his own size?"

Why does it seem that so many of you forgotten your boxing history? Fighting for the middleweight title is a rite of passage for welterweights. The list of fighters is a who's who of 147 lbers. Williams is just the next in the line of a great tradition.

Muhammed Ali was 6' 3" and had 80" of overall reach

Lucian Bute is 6' 2" and has only 70" overall reach!
Zuniga is 5' 10" and has 70" of overall reach.

Why is that Bute is only 1" shorter than Ali, but has 10" less reach. Do you think his arms are 5" shorter? Are Zuniga's arms the same length as Bute's? An overall reach measurement has liitle meaning because it takes the width of the back and shoulders into account.

The width of a fighters back varies from fighter to fighter.

Williams won't be able to handle the power of Pavlik, and when he cannot, he will have no idea how to adjust accordingly, never having to have done so before.

    The End.

Where are you people getting the 6'3" from? Pavlik is taller because Williams is just under 6'1". Pavlik's jab is also much stronger than Williams' jab.

Maybe but if he can take Pavliks punches Williams will outwork him Its not exactly written in stone that Williams wont be able to take Pavliks punches.
