I posted undecided as my vote because as much as Cotto is more skilled, one thing I'll give Pac is that he has the capability of LEARNING!

The man can quickly jump skillset with almost every fight. So come fight night, I wouldn't be surprised to see Pac a shitload more skilled in a whole new calibur.

But as of now, Cotto is by far the better skilled BOXER.
Whilst Pacquiao is the better complete FIGHTER.

It's a toss up but Pac has the edge.

Amazing achievement to be P4P #1, 6 time champ in 6 weight divisions, 4 lineal championships, from someone who can't box and has never outboxed anyone in his 54 fight career.... it's mind boggling

Seriously though... Cotto better fundamental boxer, Pac underrated boxer because he's so awkward, thought more of as a slugger, but is improving as we saw in De La Hoya fight.

What exactly comprises being "skilled" anyway? It's a pretty vague term... skill in what? And when we talk about skill, does that mean we have to remove all natural athletic ability like speed, power etc.?

If people are going to argue about it, then wouldn't it be better to have some specific criteria?

What are you talking about?? If Cotto didnt have punching power, hed be a very poor mans version of Juan Diaz:patsch:lol:

A skill enhances your natural abilities and vice versa, whether physical or mental(intelligence). It is intertwined, you cannot separate the two.

If you had a defense lawyer who dressed and moved eloquently, had incredible presence but is mother****in deaf..it would be a joke and he wouldnt be a lawyer.

The point is, Ive never seen a very skilled person who isnt naturally gifted.

That higlighted part is one of the more dumber things I have read in this forum, what makes Cotto such an offensive force is not just his power but his composite punching, his jab, left hook, body work, good overhand right. Those are things Juan Diaz does'nt have all together.

:adminThe left hook that he hit JMM a thousand times. Watch the fight.

:patschJuan Diaz is known as a body puncher. Read up on boxing.

Make a poll, Benny Blanco, dumb? or dumber?

Pacquiao has better footwork, much better use of feints, better head and upper body movement, and has proven himself to be an overall superior ring general IMO.
