A busy fighter , not a big heavy so I guess he may have that against him.

Also tough and not easy to stop and that is a plus for him especially in the heavyweight division where bigger fighters may gas out , skill wise average.

Looks to be more than a gate keeper though and has lot's of heart, surley this guy has paid more dues than Haye...ya haye is more skilled but does have the heart and the desire to win in the trenches?

Another thing it was good to see Eddie Chambers win and maybe Vlads next fight...he has actually earned a shot at the title and could cause problems for Vlad.

Well "top ten" is a deceptive term. Should he impressively win against Holmes, is he ready for some guys that are top ranked by various orgs (or even Ring Mag)? Guys like Ruiz, Peter, Maskaev, or Brewster? I guess, sure...anybody in the top 50 really has a chance against most of the top ten.

Is he ready for either Klitschko, Chambers, or Povetkin? No way in hell.

I somewhat agree, but I really can't stand Haye after the way he said he would decapitate the Klitschko's then backed down..hope Valuev beats him, and Haye has done nothing at heavy i maybe wrong about Haye and maybe he will turn out to be a special fighter but so far he has come off like a prima donna.

I give Minto a lot of credit for what he's done in his career. The first time I ever saw him fight was against Maddalone in their classic slugfest 5 years ago and in that fight he looked like a wild clubfighter at best. A little more than a year later in the rematch I never would have known that I was watching the same Minto as he improved by leaps and bounds. He dominated that fight from start to finish and ended it by landing something like 10 some odd left hooks in a row. The guy will never be a top fighter but he's made something out of his career, which is pretty good considering that he had no amateur career to speak of.

That's a fair assessment. If he beats Holmes, let him fight some of those retreads and see how he does.

    Not. Not even close.

Minto has a lot of people's respect on these boards, and I too respect him fro what he is. But he has lsot to a 47 year old Tony Tubbs as well as an almost equally washed up Krsiniqui. What does that say?

It says that he keeps fighting and has had a few bumps, Tubbs loss should have went Mintos way and Minto is a much better fighter now and I also thought he beat Krsiniqui but it was close...that was 6 fights ago and I know he is ranked number 55 on boxrec, but look at some of the guys ahead of him, I think Minto would beat guys like Monte Barret...even Tye Fields is ranked higher than Minto on the same list, so is the next guy he is fighting. Minto is an easy guy to overlook and keeps getting better so i wonder how well he would do against some of the top ten rated fighters, not saying he is a threat for a title and I know we may never see him in with the top ten, but it would be nice now and then for guys like Minto to get some of those fights, if he fought Haye, Minto would be the more active fighter going in and also he does not fold under pressure, sure Haye is considered elite and Minto maybe slightly above journeyman, but Minto has paid more dues as a heavyweight than this loud mouth who backed out of 2 fights that Minto would never of haved.

Minto will eventually destroy everyone in top-10. :yep

Holmes is first step to the all time greatness, that waits in Mintos future.

considering the current state of the heavyweight division, i would'nt be suprised if minto cracked the top 10:lol:.
