The main difference being that Peter had some skill & some speed. Arreola has a big punch & not much else.

You expect him to say "we're going to stick and move all night??"

His best and only strategy is to come forward right into Vitali to negate the jab and reach and then rip off quick, hard combinations. This is Arreola's forte. Once in range, he's also a very accurate puncher for a heavyweight.

I think Arreola is underrated on this board and this fight could very well be an upset or at least far more interesting than most are saying.

i don't understand why anyone wants arreola to beat vitali. people constant talk about the decline of boxing, and imagine what they'd have to say if a fatty like arreola was a world champion? imagine the disgrace if someone turned up to a marathon or the olympic 100m sprint as big as arreola will turn up to fight klitschko :yep

Arreola is so under rated on this forum that it is just insane. Cris is a very rugged inside combination puncher with an arsenal of sneaky quick short accurate punches. When hurt Arreola fights harder, when hit he immediately hits back. He has great belief in himself and his abilities to fight other big men. Peter folded when faced with Vitali, Peter had no inside game, and Peter is/was not a combination puncher nor could he shorten his punches. Cris probably would be severely outgunned against the younger faster more technically superior Vlad, but Vitali will find himself in a dog fight with Cris. I'm not saying Cris is going to beat Vitali, but the two styles will match up really well. Vitali does not move in and out quickly like Vlad, so Cris will know where he is and will fight his way inside.....when Vitali leans backward Cris will push forward. Cris will be a very live underdog. When a fighter gets around 38, he can still get into great shape and on a good night look great, but they tend to have more flat performances than when younger. A flat performance against a young strong vicious in fighter like Arreola could end bad for Vitali, or at the least make the night's work much more difficult. I put my money where my mouth is, I bet on fights, and this is not as easy a fight to predict as many here think. Vitali grinds people down, he does not walk in and blow people away, this gives Cris a lot of time to get in his shots, and the guy is very heavy handed and way sneakier than people think. He is not just some tub of goo, he's a bad mother ****er too.

Arreola has no chance unfortunately. Vit Klit is going to stop him mid rounds.

Arreola is a likable guy. This is going to be an exciting fight. I just think Klitschko is going to be to big and strong for Arreola.

Obviously, team Arreola is playing mind-games. First, they had Arreola photographed wearing a fat suit. Then they say that they are going into this fight with guns blazing.
On fight night, Arreola will show up weighing 215 lbs, and will dazzle us all with a fleet footed boxing clinic not seen since the days of Larry Holmes.
    Or,
Arreola is just some skilless fat dude who's going to get his ass handed to him... Either way.

Agree 100%. The fat jokes get old. There is, however, some merit in the weight talk. Cris at 230-235 gives himself the best chance to win. He's simply quicker handed and more active at that weight. I'd like to see him in the kind of shape he was in a couple years ago against Graham and Tann.

Well, in my opinion if he does this he'll get picked off on his way in. You never know, he may get lucky with a nice slashing punch that opens up a big wound over Vitali's eye.
