These two were both roughly similar both in quality and style/abilities it seems to me. How would you compare them in terms of style and abilities (not record/achievements)? For example, was there anything Charles did better than Robinson? I can't come to think of anything myself, but I haven't see very much of Charles on the other hand. Your thoughts?

They were very similar fighters Robinson had the better chin p4p while both guys had excellent recovery Charles was a better in fighter and Ray have a little more power p4p although Ezzard did have a lot of power in his prime at light heavyweight.

I think Robinson was a bit more naturally talented/athletic, but Charles was a better technician.

Yeah? Could you go into more detail? Robinson's technique seems near flawless to me, but I haven't seen much of Charles on the other hand.

Ray was much faster and also a better combination puncher IMO. The way he would throw those triple left hooks was a thing of beauty. I would struggle to find a area Charles was superior to Robinson besides inside fighting.

It's a shame there's so little footage of prime Charles. I'd agree with the in-fighting call, otherwise Ray has him beat everywhere from what I've seen, particularly in terms of speed and general athletic ability. Charles just looks flat out slow some of the footage I've seen, though he was past his prime in almost all of it.

Charles was not slow in his prime. Anyone who has seen his match against Marshall knows he had good speed very quick combo's.
