Is Mickey Ward Blind ?

I was looking at his interview on ESPN, and notice that he eyes never seem to focus on the camera but wonder around and though he is partially blind.

Dose anyone know for sure ?

I hope not also, but man he has been in some wars with just about every name out there. I would not be surprised if he is blind.

he lost a massive amount of vision in his third bout with gatti. I think it was his cornea or something was just destroyed, I cant remember where I read that, but apparently it was so bad that he couldnt see the crowd

Yeah, someone posted a video link about the aftermath of the final Ward-Gatti bout a while back showing the two men in hospital and Ward's follow up visits to the doctor. Ward had recurring eye trouble in that so I imagine he's never recovered.

 

I remembering reading a while back that he was seeing double for a whole year after the Gatti fight.

just started it and it's ****ing brilliant

 

i read he's totally blind in one eye and when that happens the chance of blindness in the other eye jumps dramatically...

Really I would of thought Holyfield would of been great. With his career and crazy personal life
