A few fantasy match-ups (ones that I thought might be intriguing):

    Giovani Segura v Ivan Calderon (@ Light-Flyweight)

Hazumi Hasegawa v Fernando Montiel (@ Bantamweight)

Juan Manuel Lopez v Celestino Caballero (@ Super Bantamweight)

Chris John v Steve Luevano (@ Featherweight)

Jorge Linares v Roberto Guerrero (@ Super Featherweight)

Edwin Valero v Humberto Soto (@ Lightweight - which might not be fantasy for too long)

Timothy Bradley v Ricky Hatton (@ Light Welterweight)

Amir Khan v Marcos Maidana (@ Light Welterweight)

Kelly Pavlik v Paul Williams (@ Middleweight - again, this might happen soon)

Bernard Hopkins v Chad Dawson (@ Light Heavyweight)

Nikolay Valuev v David Haye (@ Heavyweight )

    What are your predictions? Shoot!

Why pick a SD Ishy? I've never understood the thinking behind that, either "close" or "clear". Picking UD or SD is just guessing how the 3 judges will votes rather than giving your pick on a fight. You can have wide SDs or close UDs.

And to answer GazOC's post above, a SD simply indicates its close. Saying its close is probably more logical but...SD is shorter :yep

    Always thought the same thing.

Had an argument on the GF one night about the same thing (obviously it was a losing battle against ******ism). How can you second guess the judges on a personal prediction?:huh

Pavlik/Williams is a fight I'm very interested in.I'd be tempted to pick PW UD but not overly confident in that pick.

I reckon Pavlik beats Williams unless Williams does something different. i.e. implements a lot more foot movement. He tends to stand right there and trade shots with opponents, it usually works because he's so unorthodox, taller than his opponent, and he just overwhelms them with volume.

Against Pavlik its different, Pavlik is a very long, tall guy, with more natural strength. If you watch the Miranda fight he just stands there and is quite happy to trade with Miranda, this was back when Miranda was fresh and he managed to push him back quite easily.

I think its pretty hard to get the better of him in a trading situation, and all evidence points towards that being the case.

I am. How did Pavlik last cope with someone who put the pressure on him? He got schooled! The only question is whether PW can take the power of a genuine 160lbr:think (forget the Winky fight, that's not an accurate measuring stick, IMO).

Yep, been there and done that. It seems pretty ****ing obvious to me but the GF being what it is.....:patsch

Why not pick "Pavlik SD Williams but one of the judges for Pavlik got it wrong and it should have been a SD for Williams"...;)
