I would give Dirrel a advantage in speed and Froch the obvious power and competition faced. I think that is improtant, that Froch has being tested more as we know how he reacts under pressure from quality boxers. I think either a Froch late ko or a dominant Dirrel points win. Either way a great fight.

I watched Froch get TOTALLY DOMINATED for 11 rounds and 2:40 of the 12th against a "shot" fighter like Taylor til He pulled a last second "Lord-Help-Me-Jesus" miracle out his ass to win and everyone thinks that he'll beat A YOUNGER, SLICKER FIGHTER WITH BETTER DEFENSE, AN ABILITY TO FIGHT RIGHTY & LEFTY WHO IS A CLASSIC BOXER AND POWER WITH EITHER HAND!!!!
WOW....IS THIS A BOXING FORUM OR A FANTASY WEBSITE?
DIRRELL IN 8...AND I AM BEING GENEROUS!

Taylor dominated Froch for the first two and a half minutes of the 12th round? Something is broken, either your tv or your eyes...

I've never actually seen Dirrel fight; what his stamina like, and what kind of power does he carry?

Same here...he's basically unknown. I've to go with Froch unless Ward has some serious pop in his hands.

I suspect that Dirrell may drop out of the tournament after Froch shows him what's required to play with the Big Boys. In fact he may decide boxing isn't for him and pursue a career in a sport he is more suited to.....running comes to mind.

totally agree with ribbue t, froch was asleep in the first half of the fight. look at the pascal fight, how many people were sayin "pascal's gonna box froch's head off, froch's only chance is to get a ko" but look what happend Froch outboxed Pascal for a UD

I would not say outboxed Pascal - it was competitive, but Froch managed to put that little bit more in, which in my eyes (and being a "Cobra" fan) was a noticeable amount of extra effort.

I pick Froch to win by KO. Admittedly, I have not seen anything of Dirrell.

50/50 fight....i'll take the more proven Froch in this 1

not completely sure about my pick though, Dirrel has more then enough speed, size and skill to pull off the win...but simply hasn't beaten any1 good enough to allow me to believe he'd beat Froch

I dont doubt for one minute that Dirrell has the speed and skillset to outbox and out manouvere Froch. He will probably win the early rounds and may even look good in doing so,BUT at some point Froch WILL tag him.
The reason i dont think Froch will decision Dirrell is because i think he'll lose too many of the early rounds. If Dirrell can build a lead and then stay at range, then in theory he could beat Froch, but i dont see him having the armoury to keep Froch at bay for 12 rounds.
My prediction is that at some poing during the middle rounds Froch will find his range and start to land, once this happens i think Dirrells game plan will go out the window and he'll start backing up and eating shots.
Froch by KO/TKO between rounds 6 and 10. :good

Dirrell is taking the Super Six Series hands down. And that's coming from a Froch fan.
