Dirrell is not a good draw for Froch. Mobile and two-handed he's trouble for Froch's style. But he's dumb and he's young and he isn't experienced so Froch should be favoured...but I don't like the fight for Froch. At all.

This thread is bump worthy, I am marking everyone who is understimating Dirrell know that there is going to be a eating crow thread after for all of you and I think that whoever is wrong with their picks should all have the same avatar so we can identify all of you.

Dirrell to win doesn't matter how just as long as he doesn't get robbed in Nottingham and lets just hope that Dave Paris isn't the referee.

Froch. Dirrel looks fancy but he's been backed up in the past & has had no notable wars over 12 rounds. Froch comes to fight & that's going to throw Dirrel's gameplan out.

Add to that the fight is in Froch's back yard you know Froch is going to assert himself from the get go.

Wabnna know how the fight will start? Watch the first 10 seconds the the Pascal fight - the bell rings Froch bull rushes him and sets the tone for the fight. THAT's how this fight will go. Dirrel's gameplan > out the window. Can he handle that pressure? Hmmm....

Precisecly 6 minutes in - watch. How will Dirrel react to that?

That was awesome. Froch flew out like a madman & gave Pascal a good beating on the ropes the first round, really gave Pascal something to think about!

Exactly! This fight's in Nottingham so Froch's going to assert himself from the absolute start & I'm just not sure Dirrel will be able to handle that pressure. No doubt on the outside he is quick and better than Froch at least speed wise (Froch has a very underated Jab and judges range very very well) but if Froch puts this level of pressure on him from round 1 Dirrel's going to fight on the backfoot and we don't have that much proof he can go 12 rounds like that whereas Froch seems to get stronger as fights go on. I've never seen him tired.

Froch by devastating KO as soon as he puts pressure on Dirrell for the first time he will have him out on his feet. The fact that Dirrell doesn't handle being pressured well coupled with the fact that you know Froch will be bringing it big style in a big main event in his home town, i think Dirrell will be over-awed with the occasion against a legitimate and classy champion and simply not live up to the hype, i took one look at the Anthony Hanshaw fight and i saw all i needed to know.

Froch won't be able to take Dirrell's punches.

A middleweight who punches much harder than anything I've seen Dirrell throw.....and a flash knockdown hardly constitutes being "ready to go"
