TFFP, that is pretty much what I have concluded with watching of footage over the last few weeks. The more I saw, the less I saw for Froch to be worried about.
Switch hitting has never impressed me as a style. Case in point, Quitter is a switch hitter, it hasn't done him much good.
I think Dirrell is going to upset the applecart. I like Froch, but I think that Dirrell will land the first big shot, and Froch will be finished by Dirrell. This will be Froch's best win at smw if he beats Dirrell-forget his win over JT. I will be a true believer in Froch if he wins this fight, and wins big. Froch is a slow starter, but later in the fight his defense and counter punching gets better, but he is not a smart fighter because at times he lets off the gas. Unless he can hurt Dirrell badly... who may fold under he pressure if hurt but I doubt it, but imo I think that even if he hurts Dirrell, Dirrel can weather the storm and finish Froch. I just like the smarter fighter in this fight, and that smarter fighter is Dirrell.
I think Froch's experience far outweighs Dirrell's "smarts". I certainly don't think a victory over Dirrell comes close to a win over Taylor or Pascal. I agree that Froch did switch off in the Taylor fight, but that isn't normal practice for him.
Dirrell believes in his skill, and that is why he is going overseas to fight Froch. He might get a good payday, but Froch is 32 and on top of his game, but ripe for the picking imo. His best win is over an ex-MW champion. Dirrell is the undefeated challenger on the rise trying to take the champs tirtle, and the champ has to fend him off. Either way, Dirrell will gain experience win or lose...and I think he wins by ko.
By KO! That's a bold prediction given Froch has only been KD once and I don't see much power coming from Dirrell. Looking forward to seeing how this one pans out.
Dirrell might be able to stun Froch if he catches him right early, because Froch starts slow. Taylor definitely stunned him a little when he knocked him down, Froch's face says it all when he gets up. And I recall Pascal stunning him at the end of a round. I just doubt Dirrell has the power and finishing expertise to do anything more than briefly stun him. Froch will probably get hurt in most fights because he's so easy to hit square on the chin, but finishing him is difficult. I'd imagine you would need to break him down round by round.
Dirrell will break Froch down, but he does have to be careful. JT almost had Froch finished, but lacked proper punching technique, conditioning, and patience which was his downfall against Pavlik. What you do in the past has no bearing on the future. My prediction of AD kayoing Froch comes down to defense, and I think that he will hit Froch on the chin more than once, and eventually the chin will give.
Your 'fact' is utter BS. And if you think telling it how it is, is being an 'arse' then you need to buy a clue. All you superior beings on this site, make my **** itch. Its obvious you dont even own a punch bag let alone train and go through the motions as a professional boxer. If you did you'd know the score.
When was that then ? if your referring to the flash knockdown in the 3rd,how the hell does that equate to being "almost finished" ? Froch was leaning back and caught with a right to the temple,he wipes his face, looks to his corner, takes a knee, and then follows the refs count to 7. Almost finished atsch
He wasn't almost finished but it was more than a flash knockdown too. He looked buzzed. He spent the rest of the round looking tentative, trying to get his full senses back.
Almost isn't close enough, but is still a word warranted for this situation lol... If Froch was in with Abraham or a finisher, Froch was done. That is my opinion, and I'm sticking to it. No offense to you or you being a fan of Froch because I like Froch...
