I think that if Froch was in with a finisher, Froch was done. JT is just not a finisher. Froch did what he had to do, but I thought he was more than buzzed. One thing I always do believe is that a fight is never over.... Froch did what he had to do...and he deserves credit for coming back and winning a fight he might've been losing.

froch's last 2 rounds papered over the cracks against taylor

like nallege says, if he'd been in the ring with a fighter who doesn't gas late, it would have been game over for froch

Agreed that JT is no finisher. Having watched this fight more times than I'd care to admit, I do not believe that Froch was in a position to be finished or even hurt badly. The fact is that Taylor did make an effort to get to him and was dissuaded by some decent punches, there was also not a great deal of time left in the round. If we're in the business of making excuses, there are many reasons I could cite why Froch wasn't on top form that night. The simple fact is that he didn't go out and when it mattered he did what he had to to win. I believe that Froch will do the same against Dirrell but much earlier.

Well, it will be a good fight. Froch was buzzed later in the fight too by JT, but JT was afraid of running out of gas, and trying to go for the finish...and look what happened:lol:. Froch-Dirrell imo is a great fight, and an underrated fight. If Froch beats Dirrell, he will have to deal with Anthony lol...

Out of the six contestants, and i know this is going to look like im piling un-neccassery hate on Dirrell, i feel hes going to be the one with the least chance of winning even one of his first 3 fights. Ward i feel will do well but i think it will come down to Abraham Kessler or Froch.

JT imo has no chance/least chance of any of the contenders. JT will be going up against an Abraham-who at 168 will be in his absolute prime.

I cant wait to see how Abraham looks at 168, i think it will suit him down to the ground.

I know you have to hype your man because you are from Nottingham. But Im from Michigan and we breed great fighters like Asians ****. And having watched Mayweather, Toney and Hearns growing up, I can tell you that Dirrell is the real deal. And he is the perfect anti-Froch. He moves, pumps a strong jab, and throws flurries with power.

By the end of the fight, Froch will be labeled a bum by everyone on ESB. thats how bad Dirrell is going to outclass him. Prepare yourself.

It shows how shitty your opinion is then. Froch was obviously hurt and on shaky legs. He was obviously stunned, it was not a flash knocked down, he was rocked, wobbled and put down. That is not the definition of a flash knockdown.

Taylor was wary of unleashing on Froch because he did the same against Pavlik when he was stunned and it tired him out. So he played it safe the rest of the fight, and he got tired anyway and Froch pulled out a win.

Now I have two reasons to look forward to Froch KOing Dirrell. I can't wait to have my "shitty opinion" validated when Froch sends your ***** ass Michigan boy home with his jaw wired up.

Heard the same about Hatton. Hatton was supposed to smash Floyds ribs.

Like Roger Mayweather said. The guy with the most skill 9 times outta 10 will win.

Right around the 12th round, when Dirrell is up 10 rounds to 1. You are going to be praying for another miracle knockout. Sorry, but it aint gonna come. :yep

All these plonkers Ssaying Taylor tired blah blah blah - it never occurred to them maybe Froch wore him down did it?

Taylor arguably beat Pavlik in their 2nd fight according to many @ a higher weight & people moan because Froch gets caught by the best counter puncher he's ever faced - wow. End of the world type stuff right there!

Remove the KD and since most observers had the fight 50/50 in the 12 it doesn't take a genius to tell you all you need to know.

But is he? you saw the first round against Hanshaw i believe. A guy with real class would jump on Dirrell from the get-go after seeing how much he hated being under pressure, Carl Froch will jump on that. Granted that Mayweather Toney and Hearns (all three are some of my fav fighters) are truly great, i dont believe Dirrell will come anywhere near tp having that sort of skill set.
