First This... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yip1LVUpnE4 Then This... J.S: Were you surprised when Nate quit? Did he in fact quit in your opinion? T.B: Just look at Miguel Cotto's fight and then ask me if Nate quit? Cotto had two cut eyes [against Joshua Clottey] but he kept on fighting. Look at Juan Diaz [when he fought Campbell] he continued to fight with bad cuts as well - even though it may have jeopardised his career. He carried on. Nate didn't do that. So it looked and sounded like he quit to me. The cut wasn't even on the eyelid, it was above the eye. But he didn't want to fight. He came back to the corner screaming, "Stop the fight. Stop the fight! I can't see. I can't see." We're supposed to be warriors in this game. I know I'd have carried on if I was cut. Even if, even if, I couldn't see - I'd still fight on. I mean, the damage has been done. You could be having your last fight [in that situation]. If you have suffered a detached retina you might have to hang up the gloves. So why not fight? I would in that situation because I'd know that this could be my last chance to fight. But that's just me. I'm gonna fight to the end and give it everything I've got. I was just getting started in that 3rd-round. J.S: What do you think of Nate's plan to appeal the result and try to get it overturned? And would you fight him again? T.B: It would be the same outcome if we fought again. In fact, it would probably be worse for him. He's too slow. Even if he changed his game-plan, I'm always in great shape. I'd maybe go right to him if we fought again. I don't really see any point in fighting him again, but we'll see. If it makes sense, money-wise. That's what it's all about. But I don't know. If he wants to be a jerk about it and continue saying things - being disrespectful. He doesn't really want to fight. J.S: Are you worried that the win may be overturned to a No-decision, though? T.B: Absolutely not. Absolutely not. I'm not worried. It won't be changed. I won the fight. Look at the video. He came into MY head! The referee saw what happened in just a split second. It was a punch. We did clash heads - we were butting all night. But Nate never gave the ref the time to see the cut. Instead he went back to his corner screaming blue murder - screaming that he couldn't see and screaming "Stop the fight. Stop the fight." http://www.eastsideboxing.com/news.php?p=20745&more=1 Now he's running around claiming he wants to fight amir kahn in the uk..... in my book Tim Bradley is a ***** and he has unfinished business..... i dont care how bad he was beating up Nate Campbell... I hope they make Nate His mandatory and nate does him dirty
Sorry WWM I dont see it. I thought Nate wanted out of that fight too, and it didnt seem like that bad of a cut. and i for one would be very happy to see Desert Storm back over here
i really dont care about the outcome of that fight.... but he is running around looking for other fights already and he has unfinished business with nate cambell.. its totally obvious he butted the **** outa nate campbell
Plain and simple, all the stoppage did was postpone the inevitable. He was controlling that fight pretty clearly. Nate looked flatfooted and couldnt keep up with Bradley's movement on the outside. Then when they fought on the inside, Bradley showed some unbelievable angles that made Campbell unable to even throw...and his position was allowing him to hit Campbell at will in there (and that is Nate's bread and butter). One thing was telling that even the Shobox announcers were shocked at (they were phenominal as usual)...during the first round, Nate landed an abosulte BOMB of a right hand on Bradley...one that would normally have his opponents hurt...Timothy didnt even flinch and even landed a counter right hook off of it. Listen, I agree that it should be a NC. But lets be serious...a rematch would be a waste of everyones time. Im glad Bradley is looking for bigger fights (tho I doubt Khan's handlers put him in the ring with Bradley). Nate Campbell wasnt going to win a round and wouldnt win one in a rematch.
Ah I see what you're saying , I think saying the butts were intentional is a bit harsh, Bradleys got a big old noggin ! I could happily watch the two of them fight again though.
Shame of you piece of **** for calling Bradley a clown. Bradley is the type of fighter Boxing needs, The type of fighter we fans respect. Bradley clearly said he doesn't care if they have to do it again, the result will be the same. I don't blame him for looking forward to bigger and better things. Why give the Real Clown Campbell a rematch when in fact he was the one who QUIT like a *****???? You are ****ing pathetic! You seem to be enfatuated with Frauds and clowns.
i'm not even suggesting the butt was intentional... but if i played Michael Jordan in a one on one basketball game up to 11... and i was up 3 nothing then Michael Jordan twisted his ankle and was un-able to continue... I wouldnt run around celebrating the fact that i beat him... i would be pissed because the game didnt finish and i would either wait for my time to play him again or we would come to an agreement to not play its obvious nate still wants to fight him so...
Exactly... Bradley did his homework, he did his job.. Why make him work on the same **** again? It's not his fault Campbell is a ****ing Quitter.
****you! This is boxing, Not basketball! Idiot! Look at other fighters who have been cut much worse than Campbell... Did the Baby Bull quit when he was fighting with a completely shut and ****ed up eye for like half of the fight???
