it was a absolutly Great fight that tiny Chambers delivered vs Dimitrenko, I was very dammed happy for him. Dimitrenko's jab is very good, he never put much on beyond that.
I have always thought that Wlad's jab was a class higher.
Dimitrenko has IMO always been much more limited, and he did not learn...could not or would not, is immaterial. He has improved little since his 15th fight, but not enough.
The Liver hook vs Laun was great, but up to then Laun had given him fits and Laun was not "fast", nor a heavy hitter.

Fast Eddie Chamber's will find Fast Wladdy Klitchko a compleatly different kettle of fish.
Foot work....god, when I first came to ESB so many knew about footwork...those are legendary posters long gone.

I don't know, I don't go to General much, it's filled with chin loving great hook to the golves haters...they are not fans.
    Just ignorant haters.
I like Chambers but he should go Cruiser.

I think it will be an interesting fight. Let's see how Poev does first. I think that Poev throws a lot of punches so it will be interesting. I don't think that Poev has a lot of power though.

Wlad will almost certainly fight Povetkin first.

I think Chambers will be a pretty good fight for Wlad (given Wlad gets past Povetkin) and I feel he´s one of the best heavyweights out there, certainly in the top 10. I think it´s rather unlikely he´ll win however and I think Wlad will get a UD win or a late KO.

Why should he go to cruiser when he would be favored against almost any heavyweight except Wlad? Thinking about it yeah Chambers has a very slim chance, but he wants to fight Wlad, and he's confident he can beat Wlad.

Povetkin beats him 10 times out of 10. took his heart. Eddie can't fight at a fast pace. Chambers-Povetkin and Cambers-Dimitrenko show the vast gulf in class between Povetkin and Dimitrenko.

Eddie is a superlative boxer, though, and it is good to see him in shape.

Bad style match-up for Eddie; who is basically a smaller version of Chris Byrd. The fights will play out about the same.

Eddie cannot afford to use the same style he used against Dimitrenko, however, against Wlad. It is very close to what Byrd used against Wlad in the second fight, which was one of the more one-sided beatdowns you'll ever see.

However, Eddie uses some good head movement here and there, and that is needed against Wlad. Chagaev did that with some success in keeping Wlad missing, but could not follow up on it with any significant punches.

If Eddie wants to beat Wlad, he needs to combine his current style with a lot more side movement. Calvin Brock had a lot of success against Wlad early on because of his movement, which kept Wlad pawing with the jab and afraid to commit to it. Eddie needs to really accentuate timing in countering Wlad during some of his jabs. Wlad tends to take a half step back when he sees you coming, which is why it is so important that Eddie show perfect timing.

And more than anything, Eddie needs to keep throwing. If there's one thing Wlad really doesn't do, it is counterpunch. When you throw a punch at Wlad, he takes a half-step back, keeps his hands up, and waits out whatever you're going to throw at him by either tying up or getting out of range. Chambers needs to concentrate on throwing some fancy combinations as a counter to Wlad's jab, and to really make sure he gets full extension on his punches. A lot of fighters wait until Wlad is out of range to throw, and then stop committing to the punch thinking he's out of range.

Chambers doesn't have a GOOD chance of beating Wlad, but I think he has some chance if he shows up as good as he did last fight.

It's not so much that he's "ready" for me, it's that there's no tune-up fight he can possibly take right now that'll be better for him then the fight he just won against Dimitrenko.
There's no fighters at HW that bridge the gap between the A-A+ W.Klitschko and the B- -B+ contenders floating around.

I say make this fight happen. Povetkin is wasting too much time...as much as I like Povetkin, he is my country man, but WTF is all this delaying, how many more delays will there be

So you say, Chambers beating Dimitrenko proves that he can beat Wlad because they both are euro and tall. Yet if you use that logic, then Chambers gets schooled because he's short and american like Byrd. Your logic is flawed, all the fighters mentioned are differnt and one beating the other doens't mean crap.

    100% correct.

every match up is different. the only thing Chambers got out of that fight was seeing what it was like to have a tall guy in front of him.THATS IT.

    It means nothing.:good

Anyone who thinks Dimentrinko and Wlad are on the same level is an idiot. Dimentrinko was awful and that is being polite. He is slow, weak, no power for a guy his size I could go on and on.

I almost question if some people here even watch Boxing. :huh
