If Gatti is amongst the most loved, which fighter is the most disliked ever?

John Ruiz and Floyd Mayweather. Floyd thinks he's one of these polarizing figures who people either love or hate but the truth is that diehard fans have been onto his cherrypicking bull**** for a while now so I'd say that there are more people that hate him than people that love him. Ruiz, well, he's just pure garbage. A disgrace to the sport.

No one seems to like Tarver. Im not a fan but i think he was a good fighter.

 

I've got nothing against Tarver. I think a lot of people dislike him because he knocked out Roy Jones Jr. Doing something like that doesn't exactly endear you to the boxing public.

 

floyd and malignaggi are both hated...can see why floys I guess but paulie is a stone clod warrior who fights till the end and put a great show against cotto woth a broken jaw...i am not sure why the hate

I think the dislike Calzaghe might have intensified since he fought Roy Jones because he was fighting Roy who is considered god to many people.

Im not a fan of Calzaghe but its just a feeling i got after the Jones fight.

 

PBF is a polarizing figure and he has 5 titles in 5 divisions...if u call it cherry pisking than fine but who doesn't cherry pick..it is not the fighters it is the promoters....and ruiz is NOT pure garbage..he has fought everyone and was dead even with holyfield...the guy is a rugged fighter and a good guy

 

Ive got a feeling Billy Dib is going to be the most hated by the end of his career. Lennox hated? most people i know thought he was great.

IMO, any fighter who insults his opponents wife and kids should be disliked forever. I can understand about hyping up a fight but the wife and kids should be off limits.

 

Fraudley/Audrey/Audinary/A-Farce Harrison has to be up there. The ***** pretty much put a stop to boxing being shown on standard tv in the UK!

 

I'm not saying that Mayweather isn't a great fighter. The guy is an unbelievable fighter. HOWEVER, when you go after a much smaller guy like Marquez when legit guys like Cotto, Mosley, and Williams are out there, that's cherrypicking. Plain and simple. The guy wants to talk about how great he is yet he goes out of his way to stay away from fighters who would give him a real fight and it's not like he couldn't get a fight with any of them if he really wanted. Obviously now they are busy with other fights but that's how Floyd wants it. Let them lose to other guys so he can say they were nothing all along while he fights guys who have no chance at beating him. Ruiz is just garbage and had the referees actually enforced the rules in his fights (mostly when it comes to excessive holding) he'd have disappeared from the division a long time ago.

 

I seem to remember a lot of people thought Hector Camacho was a *****.
