Seems Duva and GBP have agreed on purse split.

But - HBO won't cough up enough money. So there isn't the right amout of money to divide between the 2 camps!

My guess: Hopkins goes where the pricey HBO licence fee is paid - Dawson. If Johnson beats Dawson, Hopkins won't be able to resist beating Johnson again.

If this messing about and indecision goes on for much longer, surely IBF will put pressure on Adamek to fight Cunningham again. No complaints from me, if this happens.

 

Why is Adamek doing everything in his power to not face Cunningham again? This is getting pathetic.

It was Bernard who challenged Adamek. And the fight with Golota is a polish matter and it was mentioned months ago. So I dont know what You are talking about.

 

Why doesn't Hopkins fight Dawson, who in undefeated and has already beaten Adamek, as well as Tarver and Johnson?

Last I heard, Adamek's people only wanted something around 1.5 million, which should be not more than 20-25% of the purse. A very compelling and good willing demand, IMO.

 

Of course you're right, that's just what Adamek said. And he's talking from the Polish perspective where Golota would still be a bigger draw than him and could be considered a legend (for many reasons).

 

Hopkins will win by wide UD to become a three weight world champion.

 

According to a video I saw on ESPN he wants the Dawson-Johnson winner. I ain't to keen on Adamak's style and would prefer him to fight Dawson, who to me appears more versatile. I'm just glad he's not picking a easy fight to go out on, as he would be definatly entitled to fight a Roy Jones or Felix Trinidad.

 

dawson fight would earn less money then adamek fight, don't forget about it besides it would be less interesting too imo... i prefer adamek's style but maybe it's just me...

yeah but it's still a risky fight for him. as i sad before - ud for hopkins or ko/tko for adamek and i guess hopkins doesn't want the second one... and it's 50/50 risk imo

 

pavlik was the undisputed MW champ of the world...adamek is the #1 CW BY FAR...tarver was #1 at LHW and a big favorite..now BHOP is cherry picking too lol...
