After what seemed to be an almost endless lull, entertaining boxing bouts involving some of the biggest names in the sport, are finally picking up in the next few months. This weekend there are three extremely intriguing bouts to look forward to:

Campillo- Shumenov: After pulling off an upset against Hugo Hernan Garay last time out, Campillo now faces mandatory challenger for the WBA strap, Beibut Shumenov. Shumenov is something of a novelty in this era of padded records- the guy is fighting for a world title in just his 9th fight.

Lacy-RJJ: Both faded names or do they have more to offer after becoming Calzaghe-fodder? It's **** or bust for both fighters.

Donaire-Concepcion: Donaire is moving up to Super Fly in the bout that is headlining a fantastic card billed as 'Pinoy Power 2'. Donaire will 'challenge' Concepcion for the 'interim WBA' strap (yep I thought two fighters already had a portion of the crown already as well:patsch).

How do you see each fight going? Which is the most interesting bout? Are you excited again after having hardly any boxing to look forward to recently? Any thoughts are welcome...

Shumenov-Campillo is the most interesting fight because its the most important. If Shumenov wins impressively it will really send a statement out there about how to matchmake, and it will boost the LHW division.

    Donaire-Concepcion is a blow out.

:goodExcellent, I think the same. A win for Shumenov would be fantastic for the sport, IMO.

I don't know who the other fighters are? so it will have to be Jones vs Lacy.

You've never heard of Donaire, Ben? Campillo was an unknown until he pulled off the upset so that one's understandable.

I'm looking forward to the Donaire fight...guys a great technician to watch.

I think Roy will do the business against Lacy but it will be decent viewing but i'm really looking forward to seeing if Shumenov can pull it off....i have a good feeling he will.

People really find the RJJ-Lacy fight interesting? Really???

I would say Donaire as he's nice to watch and one of my fave fighters but he will destroy Concepcion so I'll go with Campillo-Shumenov. The most meaningful fight of the bunch and it will be interesting to see if Shumenov can really mix it at that level all ready. Also it would be good for the light heavyweight division if someone decent came through because they sure as hell need it.

Shumenov should beat Campillo easy. Campillo is just an average European class fighter that won the lottery when Garay was weight drained.

Campillo and Shumenov now take the lead. I must admit that I am a little suprised that Lacy and RJJ is also such a popular option.

I'm really looking forward to Jones-Lacy for some bizzare reason.

Although, I'll be haunted forever by the image of the greatest boxer of our generation dressed up as a pirate.

for some strange reason jones lacy is actually after becoming very interesting for me, maybe two shot fighters pretty much in a lose and career finished situation especially lacy makes it intriguing

Campillo-Shumenov may not happen :fire. Universum hold options over Campillo and they did not agree to the Shumenov fight. They wanted Campillo to face Braehmer. Universum took the issue to a Spanish court and have won their case. Not sure what will happen now.
