I just was thinking about this... i already know people are going to come in here with a bunch of bull**** but lets try to keep it as good as possible.... now lets think about this for a second...

oscar de la hoya has fought shane mosley x 2, felix trinidad, bernard hopkins, ferando vargas and a bunch of other guys ( im not even sure of the list ) on pay per view

ricky hatton has a huge following and fought bunch of guys on ppv as well (us...uk... whatever)

they both had record settings(better than oscar had ever done, better than hatton had ever done) pay per view performances when they faced floyd mayweather jr...

the common denominator is floyd mayweather... but why is it that floyd doesnt get credit for this?

Floyd should, of course, get some credit for this.
His mouth can sell. No doubt.

yeah i mean .. when you think about the fact that floyd is the common denominator of both of these guys (oscar specifically who fought everyone under the sun thats worth a damn) it really puts things into perspective about floyds ability to hype up a fight

not that it really matters but this guy doesn't get credit for anything

Mayweather deserved to be the dance partner of those fights based on his performances.Let's see him sell this dog with Marquez. If he does I would be impressed, but I see this as a flop.

Floyd should definitely get a lot of the credit. A lot of people buy his fights to hopefully see him lose. But also, his fights with DLH and Hatton, IMO had much better promotion due to 24/7.

    it did...

but the point is the common denominator is still floyd

edit: even with all the fighters who did it... it really didnt make much of a differnce

    roy jones & joe c
    bhop & pavlik
    manny & hatton
    manny & oscar

    floyd still beat em all

Is there any thread you start or enter that is not sucking on the same cocks (Williams and PBF)

PBF sells, but he needs a superstar with him..... whereas hatton and DLH bring action and can make money fighting a punching bag!

    PBF vs Lazcano = flop
    PBF vs Colley = flop

but both these fights made millions for hatton and DLH respectively

Its DLH and Hatton that are the cash cows, PBF just adds that bit extra that gives both their biggest paydays

its pretty simple to understand, but no doubt by tomorrow you`ll have another thread sucking his balls.....

alright well floyd is the main attraction in his next fight so I guess we will see how well he does selling fights without another popular name. Not saying jmm isn't as talented as hitman or dlh but he just isn't as popular.

does throwing verbal jabs make you feel better? you got some built up stress or something....

if it bothers you that much click that little x in the top right corner of your screen and all your problems will mysteriously disappear

i think its going to do good... i see it in the 750-800k range personally... i could be off tho

It is what it is. Some people just hate. It takes two to make a huge event. Floyd gets no credit for this but Manny with worst ppv numbers before and after De la Hoya and Hatton is the biggest draw in the sport? PBF knows how to sell a fight period. Pac Diaz numbers and his other bad and okay ppv numbers never are brought up. *******s just say look at how he beat them.

Both Hatton and Oscar were always selling out every sit of the house regardless of who they fought most times... Yeah, everyone wants to see Floyd's head knocked off his shoulders and they way they promoted those fights was something that had never been done in history... When Floyd can fill up a venue on his own like Oscar and Hatton did before they fought him or like Pacman does nowadays, then yeah, I'd say... he deserves the credit...

I guess you could give him credit... but, look at what happened with PBF and Marquez. Barely any sales :/. That should tell you something

well done on answering, you really made a strong counter-argument to my points about PBF
