Manny fought Oscar and Ricky during recession. Let's see how JMM/FMjr. will do. And yes he gets some credit for bring people.

PBF and his advisors know this, but still talk **** for PR sake

but nuthuggers still selectively choose to ignore such a major factor as world-wide recession and talk **** for nut-hugging sake

    JMM isnt a mega-fight.

    It's a return/tuneup bout.

Oscar didn't sell as many PPV's fighting Sturm and Castillejo as he did fighting Shane..Tito.. and Floyd.

    Those were not BIG FIGHTS.

Mayweather/JMM is NOT a big fight.

    The recession card.

JMM will make more fighting Floyd than he has in his entire career...Manny included.

    I WONDER WHY THAT IS?:think:think

it is for boxing fans; current P4P #2 vs old P4P #1 (would be P4P #3 vs #2 if PBF had not been retired)

that is a big fight in anybodies eyes

its just that they are both defensive fighters, so the public don't care (ie both are not big draws due to their styles)

Oh ****. Chill they forgot that it was also raining that day so more people felt depressed so less buys for the telecast.

    The depression card:lol:

Floyd gets a lot of credit but he isnt the common denominator, 24/7 is.

It's a tuneup fight with legs..it has a story to it...it' still not a big fight.

JMM will make more fighting Floyd than he did Pacman:hey

Okay. So what if Floyd didn't speak english and had no problems in his family. Now how does that 24/7 play out? does anyone even watch?

To be fair. My friends don't know much at all about boxing. And they refer to Marquez as "the guy who almost beat Pacquiao." He's just not a big household name in the U.S. so it's hard to categorize this fight as a mega fight.

Very true. One of my friends refer to him as "the guy who got knocked down 3 times against pac-man and got up to win"

I don't think he won. but the point is he doesn't stand on his own name.

yeah bad example there, part of a great trilogy so it would sell well

floyd is a bigger draw than pac no doubt
