Pacquiao's ATG ranking is over-rated because alot of it is based purely on the issue of him jumping weight. His win's over Erik Morales for example are nothing special, in fact the trilogy against Morales hurts him because he lost one of the fights and Morales was past his best.

There's a lot of convenient omissions up there. Like Pac's win over JMM. And you're including a win by Hoya over Mosley that never happened. David Diaz, Hussein and Julio are about on par with most of those guys on the second list. And you conveniently omit all of the draws and losses, which swings things pretty heavily in Pacquiao's favor. Did Hoya fight a tougher overall schedule than Pacquaio? Sure, but he's probably fought the toughest overall comp in the last 30 years.

I respect your argument, and I can see mostly why you rank Oscar ahead of Pacquiao, but I respectfully disagree. A lot of it boils down to the resume versus head to head argument. I don't look at head to head too much when I put rankings together. Would light welterweight prime Hoya have beaten light welterweight Pacquiao? Sure, but that's in completely different phases of their careers.

Plenty of fighters get cuts. It's part and parcel of the game. Doesn't discard from the fact that Morales was past his best. Or are you going to disagree with that sentiment and claim he was prime against Pac?

DLH cross-dresses. ATG do not cross-dress.

I went back and forth on this one. I ultimately decided on DLH because of his resume and impact on the sport. I always hear that he lost all the big fights, but he has a lot of big wins: Chavez, Whitaker, Vargas, Quartey, Gatti, Mayorga, Molina, Paez, Camacho, and I'm sure there are others that I can't think of.

Pacquiao has some big wins too, but he's probably most known for Morales, Barerra, Marquez, Hoya, Diaz, and Hatton.

I think he (Pac) is on his way to surpassing DLH, but not there yet. His performance against Cotto, and Mayweather (if it happens) will make a big difference.

Its a no contest. Pacman has won all his big fights. DLH has lost more than he has won. Flyweight to Welterweight winning legit belts. Not crappy ones like DLH did at 154 and 160.

Compare the competition and number of big fights. DLH had numerous big fights and won a handfull of them. Pac has had like 4 or 5 big fights.

Remove the Mosley win, replace it with Vargas, and Vargas with Mayorga. It's still better than Pacquiao's.:deal

:rofl:rofl:rofl IGNORANCE AGAIN! David Diaz became someone because he got a gift vs a shot fighter in Morales. Think about that. Hussein and Julio are not on par with

A Prime WW ODLH would kill Hatton, Cotto, the version of himself Pac fought. A LW ODLH kills Diaz in one round like he did many other great fighters. H2H ODLH is better.

not clear at all. Especially for those who followed boxing through the 90's.

No one has effectively broken my argument down.

You also need to take into account some of DLHs perfomances: his constant missing against Sweet Pea, his running away from Trinidad, his 2 loses to Mosely, his disappointing "win" vs Sturm, and quitting against Hopkins, getting tired against Mayweather. But hey he beat Vargas and Mayorga so its ok
