I think I already said this on another thread but

On 10-17-09 Cuban Cruserweight Yoan Pablo Hernandez will fight with 17-1 Enad Licina for the IBF Inter-Continental Cruiserweight title.

For those of you who don't remember Hernandez was the one who was TKO'd in the 3rd by Wayne Braithwaite, even though Hernandez was looking great in the first 2 rounds and even knocked Braithwaite down in the 1st round but got too cocky in the 3rd and was knocked down 3 times losing via the 3 knock down rule.

Hopefully he does better in this match because if he wins he will become the 1st Cuban to hold a IBF title (World or Regonal).

Also Yuriorkis Gamboa's brother Yoelvis is set to debut on the 21st against a opponent TBN in Florida.

Blame the Russians, since the 70's Generation Y took over and almost eveyone's name starts with a Y. I lucked out and got a normal name...

I must correct you, Kid Cuba, it wasn't since the 70's, it was since the 80's.

i dont think there will be a problem with that, i think he is only gettin better with his training and getting rid of that ring rust but my friend from miami hangs out with them every now and then and say that his work ethic is unbelievable

What looks amazing to me is the fact that he will be fighting 10 rounds (as deCubas says), Is a big step up, 10 rounds in his 3r fight? He has always fought 4 rounds.

    RIGONDEAUX'S 3RD FIGHT ON SEPT. 18, ESPN2

Rigo will return to the ring on September 18, on ESPN's special boxing edition vs. opponent TBA. Other Cubans may appear as well: cruiserweight Yuniel Dorticos, light heavyweight Yordanis Despaigne, middleweight Yudel Johnson and light-middleweight Erislandy Lara with Felix Diaz from the Dominican Republic also possibly showing up if everything comes together. Great list of names.

    is this just recent news?

Horrible how Rigondeaux is being managed, he shouldnt be fighting fights with just 1 month notice. They should have lined him up with 2-3 fights, and continue to get him some wins. This "he could fight any week now" junk is not only bad management but bad promotion too.

the problem i think is they are more worried about getting on tv than getting a lot of fights that's just my opinion, but its still amazing that espn made room for his fight
