That didnt work out well, WM wasnt even working his corner for a big fight, wasnt it the Gomez fight ?

    Baked :huh

Been a while since that happened nah ? WM ?

Billy N n others would know the old n new insights there.

Arthur was BRILLIANCE under Peter Harrison etc

Sweetest body puncher i seen in quite a time, Hatton included.

Arthur's had quite a few trainers i remember Roach and yet again he didn't show for a fight. I would of liked to see Alex stay with Peter but sadly he kept moving around and it's not done him any help.

My memory fails me on this one. I know Roach worked with Arthur, but did he actually work his corner in any of his fights? Can't say I recall seeing him there :huh

Watching the 88 Olympics recently, it's clear Eddie Futch did a hell of a job on Riddick Bowe.

I think that the late George Francis did a great job with Frank Bruno and John Conteh, he also helped condition and mentor many great fighters in the 60's, 70's and 80's....:yep

His book George Francis - Trainer of Champions is a great read and talks about how in the 60's,70's and 80's he developed many boxers from ethnic backgrounds that promoters would not touch because they could not sell tickets... many of these fighters went on to success.. Francis did this in an era which made him very unpopular...he gets the thumbs up from me all day long for that...:good
