... In an exhibition bout :D

Hoping to add some drawing power to the event, which airs on HDNet, officials secured the Emelianenko vs. Mousasi exhibition match. The two M-1 fighters will compete in a matchup similar to the one Emelianenko had with lightweight Shinya Aoki back in April. The "exhibition sparring match," held at an April Deep/M-1 Challenge show, was largely an informal and friendly affair.

Neither fighter's record will be affected by the upcoming bout since it won't be held under traditional MMA rules and will have no judges.

The exhibition, though, will essentially serve as a commercial for Emelianenko's next fight, which will come this fall on Showtime under the Strikeforce banner. The longtime PRIDE heavyweight champion had been slated to headline an Aug. 1 "Affliction: Trilogy" event before opponent Josh Barnett was denied a license due to a failed drug test and Affliction ceased promotional operations altogether soon after.

Fedor's functional strength is just stupid. He can toss any man at least twice his bodyweight.

Even if this is true...........and even if it's just an exhibition bout........Mousasi will be the best fighter that Fedor has faced since CroCop. And Mousasi is a true Light Heavyweight.

His ability to manipulate someone is incredible. He'll flick them and nudge them from all the right places while manouvering himself into perfection position to escape or attack.

I love Fedor when it comes to grappling, subbing etc I ****ing hate his stand up though.

I have to agree about his core strength....the way he exploded off the bottom after being supplexed by Randleman was crazy also the way he MANHANDLED Lindland before locking on a kimura was :scaredas:

But you have to admit that Anderson Silva is the PFP# 1 based on his recent history....:deal

Here is the Aoki exhibition match.

It was pretty entertaining, but only competitive for about 1/4 of the time. They would intentionally give the other guy an opening. The parts where they were actually competitng they would let the guy who got the advantage fully use it rather than fight to get it back. All part of an exhibition. Just make sure to be entertained rather than try and learn anything from it; a real fight between them would turn out differently (not neccesarily saying that one would do better or worse than they did in the exhibition, just that they would both be very different)

Fedor knew he was being suplexed and deliberately went loose rather than struggle to make the weight harder for Kevin to move. He then adjusted his head so he landed on the base of his neck rather than get spiked?!?! He did all of that in a split second. Randleman had side mount moments later Fedor toss's him with his hip bash's Kevins head to **** Kevin extends his arm to protect his head and hey ho he's in a Kimura seconds later. Fedor's not human.
