British Forum: Which ATG was Calzaghe greater then?

    Buchanan's best wins = Liguna twice, Navaro.

    Calzaghe's best wins = Mikkell Kessler, Jeff Lacy, Bhop, Byron Mitchell, Reid plus 10 years worth of defenses of an alphabet belt. You can argue Buchanan was the better boxer or the more talented but the fact is that Joe was alot more successful. And this is coming from a Scotsman.

    **** off Barrera ! Barrera tested himself against the very best out there.

    Juarez, Ayala, Hamed, Morales, Kelley, Tapia, McKinney all outweight whatever the **** Calzaghe has done. His losses to Pac, Morales, Jones, Marquez all outweight whatever ****ing great wins Calzaghe has because they were prime fighters.

    Every single ATG is better than Calzaghe coz Calzaghe is most definately not one ! :deal

    Barrera was the only man to beat Hamed, and has two wins over Morales.

    That's x3 better wins than anything on Calzaghe's resume.

    I can't think of any other single fighter who has so much doubts about their ATG status. That says something in itself does it not?
    As for being Britain's best ever, he's not even Wales' best ever. Think that rightfully goes to Jimmy Wilde.

    Barrera? Come on that is absolutely ******ed.

    Toney? Seriously? Even though he is a fat pie munching toad there is more class in James Toneys finger then Calzaghe. He is a better fighter and has a superior legacy. His win over prime Jirov is better then anything on Joes record. Micheal Nunn, Iran Barkley, Holyfield, draw with Peter, Rahman...... This was a great fighter not a pretendor.

    Buchanon- I'd maybe go with that, but buchanons no ATG in world terms.

    I can't think of one fighter that Calzaghe is better then. And so far neither can any of his fans. So are we all agreed that he is the least great, supposed ATG in the history of boxing?
