everyone says cotto now but if Pac wins everyone will change there mind and say JMM believing the idea everyone Pac beats JMM can too
JMM is too open to many punches lately. Had Juan Diaz had the power of Coto, we could be talking of Cotto vs. Diaz today instead of JMM. Unfortunately, Diaz is just a featherfisted fighter.
:yep Marquez can't be effective nearly as effective at 145 as he is at 135 or lower. He would be killed in there.
cotto. but i don't think it will be one-sided, with jmm having a "slim-to-decent" (somewhere in between lol ) chance to win. predictions will definitely change depending on the outcome of their respective fights.
Marquez has not even fought his first fight beyond lighweight. For all we know Floyd might just blast him the f*ck out right in the 1st round, we don't know that. Let's not get ahead of ourselves.
The Cotto we've seen since Margarito has not been the same Cotto who performed brilliantly vs. both Judah & Mosley. That's what I'm saying. This Cotto has been lackluster since & has not had that same spark or tenacity. That's the truth. He's regressed to a more flat-footed, less tenacious puncher. Whereas before Margarito -- in the Judah & Mosley fights -- he was getting faster, lighter on his feet, his footwork was getting much better & he was creating better angles... That's what I'm talking about. I agreed with Teddy Atlas before he even made that "damaged goods" comment on ESPN. However, I don't think the damage is irreversible. A fight like Manny could be just the thing to help him find that raw hunger again & bring back that spark. If you can't bring yourself back up for fights like these, I don't know what will do it for Cotto.
