My understanding is that Billy's gym is not affiliated to an amateur club so if that's true then surely he can't be expected to train "wee boys" ?
i would find that difficult as i dont train ams in my gym,although ive been undated with top ams wanting to turn pro with myself. when i assisted peter harrison for 10 years it was to train pros in particular scott harrison , wonderboy you really need to get an understanding of the difference between pro and am,even lee mc allistair your hero doent get trained by his am trainer hes trained by ex pro davie coldwell who a smashing guy and a very knowledgeable man.recently i can only think of two whp took there boys the whole way through peter harrison and archie mckay full credit to both
Whut about Lees dad dave hes always trained lee since lee started .. Lee went to ingles when he turned pro for a few weeks a year! dave c is good lad met him at lees last fight but as far as i no lee went for few weeks with dave before murry fight(dave c words) but hasnt been down since dave does his corrner as did the ingles !!!! So all credit should go to Lees dad

Maybe if he had of spent a bit more time at Dave Coldwells gym he might have been able to maitain his work in the first and second for longer. All this stuff about training fighters from the beginning is drivel. Most fighters turn pro under different tutorlage. I'd say most of the time its nessacary as the amateur fighter needs more tools then the ones he's got in the ams.
