OK in some regards I'm engaging in a bit of supposition here since Hatton had only just hit the 30 mark . I do think his punch resistance and his stamina is not what it used to be and we have seen that in a couple of his bouts already. It's possible that if he's still fighting a couple of years from now he will still be a passable imitation of what he used to be, however, I would say the odds are against it.

Nah, i'am only ****in about mate:lol:

Like yerself i'am not one too ever disparage any fighter & on the hatton issue believe it or not i'am fairly nuetral, my hostility is only recent & it's more targeted at the concept of TEAM HATTON & the way they have gone about their bizness & with ricky feigning complete ignorence as too anything 2 do with tickets (Mayweather fight) when it was his dad that was running the show & rigging the exchange rates, but thats 4 another time. But thats when i cooled towards the feller, i found him too be a little bit too

I'am not one too kick a feller when he's down & of course we all wanted him 2 succeed at the highest level, all respect 2 him as he went chasing the main man in Mayweather 2 prove 2 himself that he was a legitemate force 2 be reckoned with, OK he got well schooled, thats life & that should have told him where his real level is, a good champ but not a great champ:smoke

Most of us all knew that he should'nt have been in the same ring as Mayweather but that dos'nt disquilify him from getting the opportunity, I'am presuming that most of the hostility too hatton brit-side is down too more & more of this "Ricky speaks" nonsence & the refering too himself in the 3rd person as thats made him alot of enemies & unfortunatly all the excuses about camps + the billy graham saga have contributed too this, also being in the public eye for all the wrong reasons, i.e always appearing pissed dos'nt go down at all well.

SO! as they say, **** rolls down hill, so unfortunatly all the recent self inflicted negatives have more than over shadowed any previous positive's giving sucour & ammunition too the guys that never rated him, but thats life ai'nt it, if yer make the rod for yer own back then someone will always come along & beat you with it.

With regard too any yanks knocking Hatton, well thats too be expected:yep they don't take prisoners & they most certainly don't do 2nd best:smoke

and Judah would've detonated big shots no trouble on that china chin. Even the tomato cans Hatton was handpicking were landing good shots on him. Woulda likely been lights out for Wicky.

I'm going off Hatton more and more these days although if I had a waxworks of myself done and I had money to throw around I would definately buy a spare for my house. Just for shits and giggles. Don't really think this would put me in the self-obsessed-**** bracket ? :huh

Well i agree with you on the points you touched......decent world champion......i was very much under the impression people were going about how he was a legend etc...by british standards......he one of the top 20 fighters of all time.....so a great british fighter yes..........but then it still came down to him having the right management team behind him.

My constant pointing at Witter isnt there to be some kind of trump card and how witter is some much avoided fighter......but i do on a fundamental level believe witter is very much the same standard that Hatton is.

When it comes to accomplishments then yes no arguement...Hattons is there.

But Hatton has had such media exposure making a carefully crafted image of supposed legend etc......if i went down the street and said that a 5'6 boxer who cant punch, and at his very best was a lightweight and would embarres Ricky and make him lose every round........and told the person that name was Pernell Whitaker........most would laugh and say hahah yesh yeah wicky is a legend...blah blah..

In fact the majority would laugh at me.....its only us the hardcore that know the truth...........so it our duty to stamp out fan worship, hype.

Unfortunately, I agree, Dan. He's grown an ego and it shows no signs of abating. He's still a nice guy but the constant referring to himself in the third person and, recently, coming out with lines like 'PBF can't sell tickets', stinks a bit of jealousy and sour grapes. One of my mates is also a very casual boxing fan and, by what he was last saying about Hatton, it seems like Hatton might now be losing some of the mainstream appeal he has benefited from.

As for the waxwork- you prententious *******!:patsch

Yeah mate. I actually used to like Hatton and have been to see him a few times (in the UK of course).
Anyway saying "erm Floyd can't sell tickets like I can" means **** all because Floyd knocked the **** outta him mate.
The constant P4P jibberish is probably what put me off Hatton in all honesty.

Dont tell me you wouldn't have a waxwork of yourself if you could afford it !

Yeah, that's what I meant- PBF won by a landslide- deal with it like everyone else who has been beaten has. Like I said, when casual fans are saying things like 'I paid £15 and stayed up all night to watch him get KTFO in under 6 minutes', it does look slightly bad.

I wouldn't have a waxwork of myself if I could afford it! Seriously, why? I'd prefer Darth Vader, Jason Vorhees or Batman or something to scare the **** out of visitors- you could put it in the bathroom and turn the lights off:lol:.
