Mayweather: I feel great. Once you engage in combat, you try to focus on offense and mixing up your arsenal to take as less punishment as possible. I’ve been working on a lot of offense [for Marquez] but my defense has always been tight. With everything in the sport of boxing you’re always trying to be a better fighter overall.

AllHipHop.com: Since you mentioned the focus on offense, how has your timing been since you’ve been out for nearly two years?

Mayweather: My team uncle Roger [Mayweather], Leonard Ellerbe, Rafael Garcia, Nate Jones, and Juan Blake has stated my timing has been tremendous, and it looks like I never even left the sport. I’m working extremely hard and pushing myself to the limit to come back better than when I left. The point is to come back faster, stronger, and be a complete, intelligent fighter. And this time of course an exciting fighter for the fans, because I want to bring [that] excitement to the sport. Of course for myself first, but the fans do count. The performance has to be there for them.

Nothing out of the norm here. Expected pre-fight talk.

Damn, this is gonna be a good fight. Maybe not to casual fans, though.

If true then that would be great. Can't exsactly say I hope he shoulder rolls for half the fight like he did againest Hoya.

Hopefully he'll open up like he did against Gatti. Being that JMM is the best counter puncher in the game, that would mean an exciting fight.

Im noticing something different about mayweather demenaour since his layoff. The first clue was at the roundtable interviews when he announced the comeback fight. Something very sombre about wanting to give the fans their money's worth. I think mayweather wants to go out with a bang. And as hes fighting a smaller man he is probably looking to put on a beatdown.

I hope this is true because I'm worried this fight might be a snooze fest if neither of them is willing to be the aggressor

Ive never seen mayweather talk like that before. Check out the round table interviews at fight fan and you will know what im talking about. Also i think pacquiao will be his career defining fight win or lose.

Floyd can become the aggressor or the boxer and be effective either way.
This fight is a mismatch and he knows it.
