He needs to win first but if he does... http://www.eastsideboxing.com/news.php?p=20808&more=1 That would be some fight.
Now that would be some fight! I read the other day that Manny Steward wanted Lee to face Duddy next but HBO didn't want the fight after Duddy's loss so it won't be happening. No disrespect to Duddy and Lee but even without Duddy's loss that isn't a HBO calibre fight unless it's on the undercard of a much bigger fight.
Lee has a chin and if he gets back to boxing he can take this. Thing is Macklin has a style Lee has problems with i would be surprised if Macklin TKO's him but not if he wins
Lee just doesn't seem to be moving in any direction.... just a meaningless 8-rounder here, a 10-rounder there.... He can take a shot yes, but I think Macklin is on a roll and will have too much in an encounter between the pair. It would be a tougher match than Macklin vs Duddy due to awkwardness, but I'd still put the house on Macklin ending this hype for good.
Lee has been going backwards your right there even his next fight seems stupid again. Macklin's on a nice run at the minute and i don't see Asikainen stopping him so hopefully this should go ahead. I'm more worried about Macklin cutting Lee than him stopping him Lee has a recurring cut that just won't go away and its in a bad spot. Based on performances i would say Macklin im a big fan of both and he has looked solid in the last few years. While Lee has been up and down. I think Macklin would deal with Duddy easily one things for sure Lee needs to get that defence sorted for this fight.
at this moment in time macklin wins by tko i think he has an awful style for lee although in a few years if lee sorts that defense he will be the best middle in ireland out of duddy , macklin and lee
Lee by TKO. He is the more skilled boxer and has more power than Macklin. Macklin is a tad overrated after his win over a 35 year old, I like Matt but before his win over Elcock the general consensus on this forum was that he was British level at best. It may be a different story if he beats Asikainen in style though.
Your hole - I would have Macklin as a slight favourite but he won't deal with Duddy easily.Duddy has an excellent chin and is tough as ****, he would be a handful for any european level fighter like Macklin or Lee Duddy /Lee/Macklin are all around the same level now.Macklin due to being more impressive lately would probably be slight favourite over the other two.Lee has not improved much if any lately and Duddy has gone back a bit since he tried this boxing **** instead of brawling
I was harsh saying easily. Duddy's chin is very good and he is tough but that won't do much when Macklin stops going for a knockout and settles on his boxing to wins rounds. He would be a handful but i don't see him beating or ko'ing Mack.
