Delahoya, yeah but it was still a good win. Although I scored it a draw. Coralles, well weight drained or not, the beatdown and performance he administered in that fight was impressive.

**** me I certainly would never forgive him! No suprise if you see my avvy, though:yep<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

JMM is being hugely overlooked in this fight. I expect PBF to win but it isn't going to be as one-sided as everyone thinks. That said, of course I am biased.

If he defeats Marquez definitively he's already done something Manny Pacquiao has not. I've always liked this choice of tune-up despite all of the hate and criticism

Mayweather has never, and will never get the respect he deserves. He's just too good, people can't STAND it.

No matter what you haters say, he's better than your favorite fighter, *****.

PBF did struggle with an aged Oscar. I think that the issue here is why would PBF take this fight instead of fighting a gatekeeper. Perhaps it would be the fear of the fact that the guy is past his expiration date would get exposed. However, I think it was because his ego killed any deal with Pac and he refused to fight Shane.

I personally believe that PBF can not beat Shane.

Personally, I think PBF gets more props over here than in America. I don't understand the hate of PBF either, TBH. America is lucky to have him:good.

It would be horrible to see and, inevitably, would cause people to hate Floyd more. Floyd has no one to blame but himself for this though. He chose this path, has played the bad boy, and must accept the consequences. I'm sure if he cared that much about being liked he'd have embodied a different persona. The man wants money, his fans should be comfortable with the hate that accompanies that.

So by that logic Pac wnt after May's left overs in Oscar & Hatton, correct?

If you fight in 5 different weight classes wouldn't you be the smaller guy each time you move up?

He's regulalry been outweighed on fight night; Corrales/ Baldomir/ Hatton/ Castillo/ Oscar ring any bells?

Corrales went on to have more fights at 130, won a title there in 04.

De La Hoya was shot at 154? Then what was he doing at 147 18 months later?

I agree with this as well. Floyd is saving all that sort of thing for Pacquiao. I think he will win a fairly tough/good fight against JMM, and then totally destroy Pacquiao, and play the villain to extremes like never before, IF Pacquiao agrees to fight him and actually beats Cotto.

I honestly don't believe anyone, other than insecure desperate people, can be a true "fan" of Floyd Mayweather. He's not a nice person and his style isn't enjoyable to watch on a regular basis. Don't get me wrong, I think he's a fantastic athlete, but I think most of the people on this site who claim to love him are really just up for a battle and look to juxtapose the haters.

To summarise. Great athlete. Unlovable by anyone other than his family.

Believe it or not. Some people enjoy watching a ****-talking villian. People hate him because he talks **** and WINS.

Look at Mayorga. That man talks the worst kind of garbage to his opponent that's not only offensive, but unnecessary. Yet because he gets brutally KO'd, people feel okay with it because he ends up looking like a jackass and it's just pure comedy afterwards. When Floyd wins, it's not a joke but something of a personal stab. As if by some divine miracle, he's allowed to get away with it.

He's also black. So black people like him because he's black. But that's not saying much considering every race likes a fighter of their own race. Especially someone as skilled and crass as Mayweather.

Hell...I liked Camacho during his days. And he was a poor man's PR version of Floyd. But I'll be honest and say I wasn't a TRUE fan of the guy. I just enjoyed watching his fights and all the **** he talked pre-fight and post-fight.

Overall though. Floyd will get bashed, but I don't think you can hate the guy anymore than he already is hated. Unless he seriously did something Hopkins-esque like demean a Mexican flag or say something like "**** Mexicans" or "I'll never lose to a Mexican" or some **** like that. He'll just be the same ol' Money Mayweather. This fight is simply a business move to have leverage in a possible Pac/Mayweather bout.
