I have read many times that Williams and Calzaghe is the same as slapping punches. I disagree. But honestly people who hits harder Williams or Calzaghe? For me i say Williams in which in his last 3 out of 4 fights he shows he can pack a punch.

I swear some people overrate Williams (remember he got outboxed by Quintana) I can't wait till he moves up to SMW and gets beaten the **** out of him by the likes of Lucian Bute, Kessler, and the Dirrell brothers. Sorry but your boy Williams will be feasting on a weak MW division after he fights Pavlik (whether he wins or loses) and he wouldn't dare move up to SMW.

That "slapping" you call usually comes from people clueless about the sport. All fighters have their stance and their style of throwing punches. Calzaghe feels most comfortable throwing punches the way he does, so does Williams. Whatever a professional feels best doing in there is what he goes for and not all people are the same.

You might want to follow some amateur boxing to get an idea of what I mean. A good example is Gold Medalist Yermakhan Ibraimov, his style of punching was very similar to Calzaghe's. He's the one that beat Jermain Taylor in the semi finals.

We all know Lacy has a granite chin yet he was the one wobbly and hurt in the FIRST ROUND of his fight against Calzaghe.

Speaking of who punches harder, I'll take your question as it's "Who punches harder in their weight divisions", I'll give the edge to Calzaghe as he hurt/stopped better opposition. Williams is on his way and is getting big fights so judging him right now with someone fully accomplished/retired is unfair/too early.

The point is Williams shouldn't be compared to SMW/LHW boxers until he competes there, he would most likely lose to the top 7 SMW's, let alone Calzaghe.

    Is this a Fn joke?

Main even if you dont like JC this thread is absurd.
So you think Lacey wouldnt walk through Williams? Or Hopkins? Or Jones? Or Kessler? Or Bika ?

Everyone thinks Froch is a BIG puncher but per # of fights JC had more KO's...
He just liked fighting and didnt care about KOing you as he was already beating the **** out of you...

You have never seen me defend Margarito's action. Not once. The fact you try to pull that shows just how desperate you are. Nice try *******. You didn't even ATTEMPT to refute what I said. Typical fanboy distraction post...the last resort of the unintelligent.

Guillermo Jones used to be a WW, he stops CWs now. So the fact that PW fought at WW doesn't mean he would be steamrolled by any top SMW.

True but he's clearly not ready for the SMW division, too much talent in the SMW division, he's better off feasting off WW and JMW's.
