I am very skeptical of this fight ever happening. We'll see Lewis-Tyson II first.

Not at this forum long, but this guy seems like a right sack of s***.

Good post man, interesting to read. As regards Valero, only time will tell. Whether he's calling out Pacquaio or not , he certainly is exciting and that's why I like him. He's either knocking out, or getting knocked out.

I think Valero should have taken the Prescott fight. He also should go after a guy like Casa at this point.

Barrios is a guy that will give Valero hell but Valero should pull through and knock him out.

Jeff, do you feel a special affiliation with fighters who have brain damage?

He'd lose to all of them, especially Casamayor and Diaz.

Valero is poor. Way to open. Way to slow.

I heard that Pitalua is literally a taxi driver from Ecuador.

It's more than just clearing things up to get Valero relicensed in Nevada. State law says that the commission can't license someone who's had a brain bleed, period. They actually need to get the state legislature to change the law so Valero can get licensed there. I doubt it's the legislature's top priority.

I've seen 3 of his full fights on TV. It's just tough to tell how good he is. If he has a rock solid chin, he can get pretty far, even with his somewhat wild style, but he leaves himself too wide open to not get clipped eventually, and he still has yet to face someone who's a decent outside boxer.

Considering he was born in Colombia and fought his entire career in Mexico, and in his prime nearly beat Artur Grigorian, I highly doubt it. He also knocked out a guy who everyone thought beat Casamayor to get there. Pitalua's no scrub. No great shakes either, but still probably the second best win of Valero's career.

I'm pretty confident that Valero would beat Diaz or Katsidis, just based on styles. Casamayor would be a lot tougher, but his chin seems to have gotten worse with age.

You know, I have no doubt he would knockout Hyena Barrios but actually I want to see it since there's already bad blood there. The press conference and just listening to "Little" "Mayorga" wold be funny as hell.

Yep, definitely exciting no matter what happens from here out. I just love to see the guy fight.

One, he doesn't have "brain damage".

Two, you're a known "chin-checker", who circle jerks with Rico, Shattered Glass, and others. So, I could really give a **** about one word you have to say.

I don't think he'd lose to any of those fighters, and Pitalua is no A fighter, but he is surely no taxi driver. He put himself in position to fight Valero for that title fight by beating Jose Armando Santa Cruz, which was a very solid win.

Valero will get his chance against a big name to show off his skill set. He has had a lot of trails and tribulations, but his time is coming. The storm is coing. They say he is slow and crude lol... Yeah...riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight! lol...
