I can see it both ways.

The damage done to Cotto's face is pretty extraordinairy.

But yes, he was walking Miguel down from round 2 on, and putting him through the paces. He also absorbed a ton of return fire.

Cotto might very well have been busted up and beaten down.

People saying, why start cheating with Mosley, who you are favored to beat? Well, maybe Margarito didn't favor himself to beat Shane. Maybe he had a bad training camp and wanted an equalizer.

Point is, we just dont know. We don't KNOW what was under the gloves for any other fight, and we can't condemn.

As much as I cant stand that cheating piece of ****...There is no proof that Margorito loaded his gloves up for the Cotto fight (even though I think he did, just cant prove it) Logical thoughts or not, I need hardcore evidence that he was packing plaster with that fight....Yeah, Margorito win is questionable but it should stand given that their is no solid evidence of him doing such a thing.:patsch

I wish I could see the photos of Cotto the day after the fight. He probably looked like the elephant man. Sometimes you have to use a little common sense. This wasn't a normal ass whoopin. I also agree that after watching assault in the ring, the way a fighter could get absolutely ruined (even though Collin's father was money hungry) Marg should get some time. Dude is a fraud.

I think Margarito should not be banned, and I hope down the road he fights Cotto again and see if the wraps really made any difference. I personally think it had more to do with his pressure and high volume of punches, but would still love to see this fight again.

Are you ****ing serious? Margo's face didn't look nearly as bad as Cotto's for one, and two Cotto hits much harder than Margo (ask Clottey) and landed every power punch in his arsenal flush to Margo's face. The fact that Margo's face looked as good as it did after how many powerful punches Cotto landed on him is what amazed me. Cotto is low key about everything, he has answered every question asked about Margo, but he knows there is no way to prove whether Margo. If he wasn't low key about it and bitched about it and said the fight shouldn't count than he would come across as a sore loser and a whiner (like Cintron did).

both fighters looked bad at the end of the fight, both had massive swelling. the big difference was that cotto had a cut which made things look worse.

as for the plaster ... the possibility will always hang over all of Margarito's wins after the Santos fight.

Your asking me to get technical. You see the picture. My man's ear is ripped off his ****ing head. How often does that happen? Cotto quit cause he couldnt take getting beat by someone with plaster in there gloves. Believe me, I'm the first person to give people the benefit of the doubt, but this is so obvious.

Thank you. I hate it when people say that Cotto having a ****ed up face proves that Margarito had plaster in his gloves. I guess Cotto used plaster against Mallinagi and just about all his other opponents.

Zero evidence exists that he did ANYTHING in the ring other than compete legitimately. The ONLY fight for which ANY evidence exists is the Mosley fight. Period.

All this nonsense about the fight with Cotto and others is PURE speculation, without any evidence to back it up.

    We'll never know.

Obviously if you're getting hit harder, with loaded gloves, it can change your gameplan and more out of you than getting hit with regular punches. Having loaded gloves can allow you to relax more on punches and let the damage build up. And of course there's the psychological factor of knowing your gloves are loaded.

Personally I think Margarito loaded for this fight and others, but there's no proof or evidence.

Fighters get their faced busted up by normal gloves as well.
