well consider this, that after Oscar retired.

The 2 biggest draws in boxing (with Floyd still retired) were Manny & Ricky.
    They did 1.28M PPV buys I read (though you're saying 0.82M ?). That's the 2 biggest, in a recession.

Cotto isn't the next biggest draw after Hatton... but he is the person with the next biggest fan-following in the sport (Manny & Hatton first ; Cotto after).

I'd be inclined to think it'd do 700-750k with Cotto not as popular as Hatton but Manny's popularity growing & his devastating knockout of Hatton enticing more viewers just like Tyson used to.

(part of how this sells actually depends on Floyd too, if he takes JMM out fast & in spectacular fashion -- I don't think he will do it like such but if he does -- then throws down the challenge to Manny, all eyes will be on Manny's fight with Cotto aswell from the more casual viewing public).

But yeah, I'm thinking 700-750k (but a lot can change between now & then... starting with Floyd-JMM!). We ARE in a recession, keep in mind! I mean, even in the UK... not that many ppl bought Hatton's fight with Pacman whereas for Floyd over a million ppl in the UK alone bought the PPV on SkyBoxOffice! Even Khan didn't sell well... both PPV (only like 20-30k, I kept hearing) & even at the MEN, when I went, the upper-tier was closed off cuz half the tickets didn't sell (so we got an upgrade from 50quid tickets to 100quid tickets :) ) <--- this is part of why I lol'd in that main site piece about how boxing is still so alive & Khan selling out a "packed arena" (or words to that effect) is partly evidence of this. It may have looked packed on TV... but believe me, it was literally half empty!

also, Morales trilogy lol. Please list them separately!

421.666, HBO will probably round it up to 450.000 or even 500.000 in their heavily inaccurate press release and Arum will simply lie as usual, saying "about 600.000" or something like that. There's a foruma to this.
