    Erm...clearly you are a another ESB general poster who knows nothing about boxing.

    Let me educate you about the following:

    1. Vitali has a style which means he is unaffected by age, as he is a fighter who relies on reach and technique and then power.
    2. Vitali has the highest KO % of any HW champion in the history of boxing;
    3. This is the most important- that fat american you are talking about cannot even begin to hurt a fighter of Vitali's class, because he is fat, slow and useless, and his only experience is in beating up useless bums;
    4. Vitali has better sparring partners than Aereoloa. sorry.

    It could definitely happen, you never know with older fighters..... and anyone who just excuses the idea is a moron.

    ive been watching boxing since 1979................nobody thought michael spinks had a chance against an aging larry holmes(holmes was 35 at the time)spinks won.......nobody thought leon spinks would beat a 36 yr old ali he did...........................fighters get old..........chris hits a lot harder than gomez.....so we shall see...........when chris gets knocked down he gets back up.......and that to me tells me he has heart.....im not saying hes the next top 5 heavy of all time...just saying a great oppurtunity for chris to catch an old fighter.

    Vitali is not old at 38.

    A fighter who can't maintian a decent physical condition to keep their body performing at its peak, even into their late 30s, like, say Toney, will start to weather from age MUCh faster than a fighter who is of impeccable discipline and conditioning for his fights, and even maintains a good walking around weight, all the time.

    Vitali will retire before he starts to fade. He's too smart to stay in this game if he felt his sparring and training was getting harder on him. He's one sharp dude, and if he's still fighting, you can bet he knows and feels that he's still hitting on all cylinders.................as he showed in his two comeback wins/dominations.

    You know truth be told, even if Vitali were to age overnight he would still have enough to beat the plodding Arreola. I could understand how problems could arise if the opponent were a quick, power puncher but Arreola's a sedentary opponent who can be picked off by Vitali, old or not, all night long.

    with conditioning and supplements and modern training...38 years old in the 70s and 80s is 100 times different than being 38 in 2009...

    Something about Arreola tells me this guy wants & knows how to win & he can inflict bigtime damage. I think Vitali will have all he can handle & if Chris can hang in there awhile, VK just might loooooose...

    this is a HUGE step up in talent level for CA. I think his hands will be full and he will eventually fall apart
